can you block certain numbers from calling you on the n71?

    I'm quite disappointed with this phone. I’m really very cautious to use it for ‎anything else other than for making calls and receiving calls, and still their I’m ‎facing some problems.‎
    The mobile has following problems:‎
    ‎1)‎ It hangs too often than usual, specially when receiving SMS message, or ‎when you try to play a game.‎
    ‎2)‎ When typing SMS messages the screen will flicker when it goes to the ‎next line.‎
    ‎3)‎ It slow when sending SMS messages. Some times it hangs in the middle ‎of the message.‎
    ‎4)‎ Battery indicator is not accurate. It may indicate empty power and the ‎mobile switches off automatically, but when you restart the mobile it ‎shows more than half. This problem happens almost daily.‎
    ‎5)‎ The screen easily gets scratched.
    I brought this phone to Nokia service center several times but always after a few ‎days same problems occurs. ‎

      I've been used this phones for 2 month, nice screen and camera than N70/N72/N90 even they are 2 MP also. Great sound with equalizer and bass option. To bad i can't get to the next track for music player using the Handsfree ( must using the button on the phone ). I've already using miniSD about 1GB and it's works well for reading the memory card, and it's content ( songs, games, video, themes etc. I've been compared with N90/N70/N72, for changes themes N71 is quite fast than N series above which is need a minute also with the connection.
      Still proceed with this phones for the good and the less.
      So, I think it can be an option for you who want to changes your personal stylish phone.

      Noted : can any of you advise me which website could provide freeware games for this phones. Thanks

          I'm lookin forwad 2 buy it.. but I saw lot of ppl not satisfied.. is it a general thing or just different opinions of people.. cuz its a sure thing that i dont wanna buy a bad phone

            its the best phone in nokia i think. i have it and im only 10.
            the only promblem is that it hard to turn it off and on.

              I need a sincere comment please... I wanted to change my N70 for a N71 because of the wonderful QVGA screen, 3rd edition Symbian and the equaliser but the 10 mb doubts me from getting it since my previous 6680 also having 10mb memory always lags especially running java apps and games. Does this phone have that problem?

                Hi,

                I've been a nokia user,(N71 is my 9th nokia phone)but my latest purchase didn't satisfy me at all. I'm very dissapointed with this phone because 1, It sends SMS tooooooo slow I'm getting sleepy waiting. 2, It eats up the phone memory without me storing anything! How crazy is that?! 3, It hangs too often than usual. 4, Well, it can be avoided but the screen really easily gets scratced.

                I brought this phone to nokia service center to have it fixed but after a week or so same problems occurs. Now, I'm putting up with this phone's abnormalities while I'm carefully choosing the phone I'll buy next.

                To those who wants to buy this phone, think a million times. N71 is just a waste of money.

                  I just got n N71 and so far am really enjoying it. There is an application on Nokia's website to speed up the sending of SMS called SMS Accelerator.

                    hi.

                    i was searching for review on n71 to see if I'm the only one experiencing certain problems with my unit. I really like the phone, had it for five months already but lately it's been sending SMS too slowly and I hate it so much. Can anyone help? It is connected to the phone or card memory?

                    I read a post on the phong hangging while playing snakes, happened to me all the time but I figured it's connected to the battery. While playing any game, the phone usually hangs when the battery is almost empty. Hope this helps.

                        Hi guys, am Austine and this is a question to all who own and are still using the N71 phone. Please can anyone tell me if it is possible to download an MP4 file that consumes 60MB to 90MB through it's Bluetooth or it's Infrared.                           HI ALl

                          I would like to know does the screen wallpaper on N71 will fit all the screen all it just a little picture on the middle of screen like N80 did. ( imean it only have the picture appear in the center of the screen then on the tops is the time stuff like that.. So I would like to know if it fit the screen thanks...

                                  I've been enjoying this phone ever since I got it. Just a few niggles, I run a 1 gb memory card and sometimes the phone hangs on me. My pet peeve right now is that there's insufficient protection for the main screen resulting in scratches on the screen, have since put on screen protectors for both displays.

                                  I'm just waiting for a software upgrade in hopes that all the issues i face will be solved.

                                    Anyone has encounter the screen flickering issue? When you type your sms message and it goes to next line,the screen will flickering?So far,Nokia are still not able to overcome it and the answer I had from them is "Normal".Is there anyone agree to their claim?I don't deemed it as normal.I think if any user also has encounter the same problem should complain to Nokia.Otherwise, they do not treat it as "Abnormal",if no other users complain about it.

                                      this mobile phone is unique!!! No one in malta has this phone but me lol. its amazing, everyone is like "wow. whats that mobile??? where did you get that?"

                                        Hi i just bought the n71 a week ago... it totally rocks! My only problem is those damn scratches. Actually, they're not scratches, more like dirt compressed on the screen by the keypad. The true real scratch is the one in the middle of the screen which is caused by the number '5' of the keypad which is small but deep.
                                        Other than that I'm really satisfied with the n71
