To Cezar or anyone from the Philippines who wants to know more abt n71, I'va had it for two wks and well unfortunately it has some scratches now at the display bec it somehow touches the keypad, that's rather careless for Nokia. But, the phone is amazing, display is better than n70(my bro owns one), music is better than 6280. It has some of the functions of n80 (when you don't want to accept a call it can automatically send a text msg why you rejected the call), can view ofc docs, good 2M pixel camera comparable to SE (except the autofocus), has advance sequence mode, also has a very useful multimedia key (for shortcuts if you don't want to use the active standby mode). I can live with the scratches, I just placed a screen protector to prevent more scratches. I love this phone, it's a good clamshell phone fr Nokia and it's has a cover display...

If you think your keypad is bad now, wait just a few days untill it starts feeling and sounding as if there was a layer of badly glued scotch tape underneath or as if you spilled a glass of water with plenty of sugar on it (especially the pen/menu/cancel row)... :((( Pitty a display, which is, indeed, excellent, a very good (IMO) camera and a cool operating system are integrated into such a flimsy handset!

Thank you very much Xenomorph! The battery is weak as always in Nokia phone. I wanted to ask about the keypad touching the dispay, cause i saw one unit in a shop and the display was already scratched by keypad...weird...such a ignorance. Thank u for ur information! Maybe I'll go again for Sony Ericsson. Maybe W810i, cause I don't use 3G, but EDGE or I'll wait for K800.

@orange: I have it and I've tested its battery life in extreme use / average use / next to none use conditions with according hardware settings. The results I got were VERY dissapointing: best - 2 days; worst - 18 hours. Also, when buying a N71, carefully inspect its finish (no, not the finnish guy who assembled or sold it to you!:). Mine has inacceptable panel gaps (top cover) and unaligments (battery cover) for a device in this class and at such a price. Also, when folded, the top cover rests on everything BUT the silicone pad designed for this purpose. Thus, the screen cover touches the keypad panel, which, after just a few days will result in unremovable scratches on the screen. Overall impression would be (for me at least) that Nokia is getting very sloppy and their arrogance and neglect towards customers has reached sky-high.

now this phone arrived at philippines, but theres one nokia phone similars it's functions: the 6280. i dont care about the symbian coz i have a PDA(windows OS) and a PC (windows xp2) but the functions and performance(sounds, pictures quality similar to SE phones). is this phone way better than 6280? 6280 boast up with VGA video recording but with only 15fps only. and is cheaper than this one i think. 3G is now available in here so guys which will be better? 6280 or N71?
Neway how much is the price of N71 today? also 6280? please reply

my comment is that i want a clamshell symbian phone up to date so not 6260 or panasonic x700 & here it is,,, BUT theve used the n70 joypad (5 way controls) and its to small for me to operate even wen playing my timewaster simple games etc and only 10 mb internal memory which is not enuf,,,WHY,,because it wasnt enuf memory in my 6680 & ended up out of memory a lot & having to delete programmes...WHY do firms increase there models or bring out newer versions phones & drop back on quality???S/E had done it as well making there new k800 thingy only qcif recording,,,SAMSUNG working backwards in there d models with lower resolution camera & so on...The customer is very savvy these days & things are supposed to progress forwards taking into account the time these phones come to market they often outdate themselves which is so damn true & with hspda on the horizon nokia should be releasing models now in time for the rollout?May now go for n90 and carry on using my bumbag to carry my phone in as getting them out my jean pockets is chaffing my knuckles enuf to cause bleeding even tho ive gone up a size jean to try & accomodate!!!i still think wi-fi is a gimmick as ive searched my region & there rare & cost a minimum of £5 an hour & suck the battery down fast..PLEASE tell me if the next statement untrue but samsung z500 is 3g but tiny so i think nokia shud start to reduce the size of the symbian platform as its obvious that its the size kiiler in these phones even windows do tiny fones & 3g can only be a small unit(z500).

this is one of the ugliest phones ive seen in my life... the buttons are so small... the overall design is technologic in a weird way... not one of the best hps to buy if u wana impress ur friends at first glance...in singapore, its just being launched n its arnd s$900+... more expensive than the better-looking and more sophisticated n70 n n80 duo... spend ur money elsewhere... anything but this... seriously...

I request gsmarena to give us a review of the N71 ASAP. Also, im confused which one to buy between N91, N71 & N80. Can gsmarena have a detailed comparison between them? Thanks.
