its simple.just install NokiaPC Suite from www.nokia.com.After installing click on software update.Enter ur product code(which is present in the back of the fone it is a 7 digit number)gud luck.

hello friends can u plz let me know how to update the firmware of nokia N72 & and tell me how to upload the songs in to the mobile & i am planning to get the 1gb memory card. will it slowdown with 1gb.

But I think, you couldn't hear the voice tag of individual contact names, so that you could know exactly how a contact name should be pronounced. If yes, kindly tell me how can we hear voice tag for each contact name individually????

You have to hear the voice tag first. goto contact and press options and then select play voice tag. thats what you have to exactly speak....

Nokia one of the best product is N72.
The gold lined black colour mobile is fine
i expect nokia to do more like this
one small probs is that there is no autolock
but its ok its a fine mobile

Umesh, It seems you r not talking about N72 bcoz it contains the features that you have mentioned;or you may not have gone through N72 features.
To view any number, there is no need to take edit contact; instead take name from contact list and just open it. Name will be displayed in the top and the number will be shown below in the same screen.To view next name and number,just press right navigation key.
For SMS,place the cursor in TO field and you can add name or number of any recipient you wish.
Plz try these basic and advanced functionalities of N72 b4 putting comments.

u havn't mentioned 4 how many days u charge ur fone. & takin 2 hrs is common 4 dis fone.
By de way hav u updated ur firmware.

Hi,
This is sivaram from Hyderabad,
I bought a Nokia N72.
So Problem is battery getting low,charging very slowly like full battery charge, it will be taking 21/2 Hrs,
This I was suffering from this problem
1)could you give me a suggestion about battery problem?
2)Why is it getting low battery and charging very slowly pickup?

it is best mobile compare to other handset to match middle class people but the this is if IR is also been adopted in this it could have become the better mobile

Hey..I've one problem in my N72:
As per the N72 manual/help, all contact in phonebook have pre recorded voice tags, which could be used for calling by simply calling the name. But in my N72, whenever I call name of any contact, it doesn't finds it. Instead most of the times, it activates one or other profile & sometimes gives No match found. Has anybody faced the same problem??

It is really surprising that Nokia can remove basic functionalities in such advanced phone.
I contact list there is no option to view name and number same time. U view phone no. you need to select edit contact.
Writing SMS, there is not option to insert phone no. or Name from contacts.
Really pathetic functionality

i jus luv my cell...it's giv an elegant luk n it's sound quality n camera vision is also gud.. i m usin it frm past 5 months...i m satisfied n i wish v cud hav variety in colors 4 N72.. gud wrk Nokia.. keep it wrk!!!
