n 72 should not be purchased because it does not have batteries indicator,volume at the time of cahrging is slow,alarm is set one for one time,battry is low,can not be use in dark

I have no idea who's your rumor source, because both of the "rumors" are complete nonsense:
1. You can set any jpg/gif as wallpaper. Just if the size is too big it might look weird, because it will squeeze it into the screen. And the GIF pictures will have no animation, that's quite obvious (however you can install a special app that can do this, called "Animator").
2. I have no idea what you mean by "white surface", but when you open the menu.. well the menu opens, that's all I can say...

Hi everybody, i heard some rumors about this set.
(1) we can not set the wallpapers of gif or jpg format that we download from sites?
(2) when we open up the menu there is white surface over the applied theme? Please tell the truth!

Err 3310 ? It is actually possible to format it ? Just go to settings and enter "restore factory settings", then enter password and that's it I guess. The password should be 0000 or 00000 or 1234 or 12345 if no one changed it.

1. I have a freeware sotpwatch, leave me your mail. All apps for Symbian OS, except for 3rd edition ones and Symbian 9.1+ ones should work on this phone.

To Jha:
It 1gb, but no more. Read the previous comments.
To bittu:
Not so missing with appropriate software ;)
To mzsuki:
What dictionary ? T9 dictionary ? Press the pencil icon while writing a message and choose to turn it on. You should choose your language there too.
To ssk:
All s60 apprications, except dor 3rd edition ones should be compatible with this phone. Some of them won't work correctly, but only some. And www is full of them, people really should start using Google.
Leave me your email, I can send you a freeware stopwatch I found some time ago.
2. Realplayer should be set as a default already. And I don't think that a user can change it. try updating the software, maybe you've got a really old one. If nothing, try rewriting it.
To Gautam:
You should remember, that all Motorola phones are crap. E6 is only good for listening to music, but everything else pretty much sucks.

last month I bought N72.It is very good symbian set and its camera result is also fantastic.I never sel my mobile because it ismy favourite mobile I Ever buy.

1. Thanks for the information. Could you please inform, whether you mean to download any stopwatch application from google or is there any particular link for the stopwatch application you mentioned? Is there any partcular site to download the applications compatible for N72?
2. On playing videos from Gallery, it directly opens in a player named 'Camcoder Pro'. But this player takes a lot of time to load the video file and there is no sound for the mp4 files played. So I would like to open the video files in Gallery through 'RealPlayer'. Is there any way to make Realplayer as my default player?
