i wish i had this phone!! coz i really like it!! the style.. the programs.. and especially the camera... haha!! hey guys.. buy one for me... oh yeah!! all the N series phones are so awesome!!! especially n70 (the music version, the black one) i really like it...

it's very good shape and please release it soon cause it's very nice phone and it has all the good optiones the person can need in his cell phone.

Nice looking phone! Like the OS! You can view full websites. Nokia is once again ahead in tech but not release time! When? Cingular holds everything up! Will this phone have the upgraded hsdpa tech?

Why do you supposed Nokia would make another phone which does not support 802.11b/g (Wi-Fi) or perhaps even Wi-Max? It seems that this phone has some wonderful features, and it is rumored that it will be available in the US thru Cingular. Is the 3G phone worht the money?

Hang on a minute: the 6290 appears to be very similar to this phone and even has a slightly better spec. GSMArena's technical specifications have not mentioned the second camera for video calls. Does the N75 have one?? I thought the Nseries was supposed to be technically more advanced than the 62 series.

About the auto key lock... of course the normal, manual key lock's still there, but many previous Nokia phones have had that handy auto lock that you can set to lock the keys after a certain time period of your choice. I guess the designers have decided that these phones that don't have the keypad visible all the time don't really need to have it, as there are only those 3 keys on the cover and then those few on the sides of the phone.
Now that the auto lock's there, it locks also the media keys but they were the problem in the first place since the pocket of my bag was obviously perfectly shaped to push them all the time...
The auto lock opens automatically as you open the lid but it can also be opened without opening the lid, by using the media keys, which is handy for me :)

Hey N75:
Yes it has "menu+*" key lock. Although actually it is not "menu key", but "left soft key".
I think VIrdians point was that you have to do this yourself, the key lock does not get activated when you close the lid. Actually this makes some sense, because then you should unlock it if you want use media keys.

I've had this phone in use for a few months now and the more I use it, the more I like it. You can use the camera both with the cover screen and the bigger screen inside. The camera isn't that good really, the pixels could be enough but it has no auto-focus... then again I have a real digital camera for more serious photo taking, this one I use more as an MP3 player/radio.
The sound quality (thru the in-built stereo speakers) is rather impressive for a phone (and speakers that are smaller than the nail on your pinky finger). You can get a decent amount of music on the memory card and you can listen to them anytime anywhere, that's what I really love...I have the phone with me anyway, all the time everywhere, whereas I never managed to keep the mp3 player with me god knows I tried...
And another thing I like about it is that you can personalize both displays with your own pictures - I took some photos from my computer and put them there, they don't have to be those you take with the phone's own camera.
The only bad thing I can say about it is that it had no automatic key lock. There are three keys on the front cover and I noticed that I really need the auto key lock, as the phone was playing music in my bag (and consuming the battery) almost every time I put it in there. Luckily the auto key lock could be ordered to the phone as an extra application.

I am puzzled about Nokia and the N series. They are supposed to be at the cutting edge of mobile phone technology but instead I am seeing gimmick after gimmick. The N75 is supposed to continue where the N73 left off. We are supposed to see improvements both in stability of the softwear and also in technology. Thus we should be looking at 1)VGA(30fps) video recording 2)WLAN capability 3)Xenon flash 4)Internet browsing in landscape mode 5)Stereo Bluetooth(A2DP) 6)TV out mode 7)Minimum of 3 megapixel camera with autofocus. None of these standards have been met in the N75 and yet Nokia clearly has the technology to implement them. The only improvement on the N73 is the 16M colour screen. Why are Nokia holding back on us?? Why are Nokia giving us crumbs instead of the real meal??
