I dont know why everyone is saying that the chrome started peeling on in a month. Ive had mine for a year and the chrome is peeling only becuase I droped my phone a couple times and peeled the chrome off when the plastic came off on top of it. I droped it after having if for about a week and it still works fine. Its the best phone that Ive used, I only use Nokia.

Hii everybody, i need someone 2 help me :( Am planning to buy the N76 but whenever i tell anyone, they tell me not to buy it, because the colour goes off and it is not that good. Some people told me that the newer version of the N76 is much better and the colour stays, is this true?

So you are saying that the paint dont peel off right ?
where did you buy you devise?? directly from Nokia or from one of those stores around? like amazon for exemple?

(note you can also get a genuine one out of china). One has been for sale on Trade Me, and sold admitting it is a fake, he unwittingly bought, be fore he knew.
I have three N76 phones. All genuine One damaged I got for spares. Chrome peeling.
The first one out of gemany did not last 4wks before the chrome started to come off. This phone has now started to drop calls. And will be not used again, except parts. The last one I am now using, but it has a crack on the mirror glass (external) and yes it has chrome coming off.
As I understand it Nokia did replace covers under warranty, somewhere in the world. None of my phones are under any warranty claims, I am just a bit shocked that Nokia have not been that co-operative in getting these parts fo me.
Nokia Careline? That is a Bloody Joke.
The N76 has been a good phone and I have liked using it

the paint comes off LOL =)))i have this phone over a year now,he is perfect like in the day i got it.GO AND BUY IT FROM STORES,if u can't affored one don't try 2 pretend that u are cool when u don't have money 2 buy a soda.

the worst cell phone I've ever had.the colour comes off from the first month without causing it any damage!they don't replace it,only if I buy a new cover.that's why they have made it so bad?too much money for this phone.I won't buy nokia again...

One of the best phones I have had, I have dropped it multiple times, wet it and the only problem I have had after updating the software and having the headset plugged in is it voice dials by itself, this happened for a couple of weeks then nothing for months and it started again for a day, I have reset settings but it still happened. The paint does come off and i'm missing one key from when it got wet. I have had it for a year and would buy another, also it's a 2 hand flip.

I recently got the phone. It looks great. other than that it's not really amazing.
It seems to be treated like blonde with no brain.
Most smart sofwares are not made for this phone except flashy theme and wallpapers.
It's just not made very well. When you hold it, it doesn't feel as robust as most other Nokia phone.
Anyways, It looks great! That's all I can say. I'm planning to switch to Nokia 7510 seems to look equally great but more robust

Pardon me. I am looking to replace the phone covers/ case, not put other cover or case over the already damaged phone.
Anyway I should add that Nokia have agreed to locate all parts and ship to Auckland for fitting at their Customer Care Center. I will have to pay, but I do not mind.

actually what da function of email for tis n76? da function not same like push mail right?as usually i go 2 my mail site via normal browsing and login..

yes, the paint comes off, same as almost all phones these days. however, for me the really annoying problem is that when the phone rings and i pick it up, the call disconnects as soon as my hand touches the phone. At first i thought this was just coincidence, or i had touched the wrong button, but over the year i've had it, it just keeps happening. Must be some kind of short circuit in the cover.

I've been looking 4 a phone in the market lately..i saw the blk phone whch is attracted,the N76,but i tested it,the battery life has been low at a few hours,..
But then i didn't buy,in my mind i hav 2 see mor handset to get the best quality i hav looking for,. And today i link at this site and i'm so bother,confuse and i don't knw?which is orignal! Becoz the N76 displayed in the markt where i've been and the n76 displayed at here,is so diffrencs!n76 in the market is black and bar phone whyl n76 at here is flip..otherwise there has a similarities as i read the opinion of others..it's so poor and narrow design,u cn't col it elegant,..n76 that i'm saying is similar to n70 but n70 s much better than that two various desgn!!!
