this phones really good
but the battery doesnt seem to last very long if your listening to much but if your not then it last about 2 days without recharging.
Ive had my phone for about 3 weeks but i haventseen any of the silver peeling off like everybody says. does it peel of easily or will it come on if a while

There is nuthin wrong at all with the N76...Battery lasts longer than quoted if you know how to control the usage...Ive got the Motorola Maxx, Nokia N73, Sony Ericsson K800i....This fone is more entertaining to use...looks great and overall masterpiece.
I really thought this fone wasn't gonna meet my expectations, but it has exceeded them...all i can say is great fone better than the other three i have...Everyone has different opinions...No software issues. such as restarts which is a change for the N Series..

i got this nokia n76 on 27/6/07 red colour and i love this phone it got a very good battery packup all features r same like nokia 3250 i'm using that also but, i just bought this phone just of desighand looks of this phone. from, inside its too copy motorolla v3i. but, i like this phone verymuch. problem is that, the music quality is not good its very low.can't hear anything when its played and one more problem is that i can't close the music player application no exit option for that. that's it nothing else i want to write.

the worste phone ever nokia made imagine its for about 450$ here in dubai and it started to peel after just 2 weeks of use thts horible.......

For those who were saying that the metallic plate of nokia n76 will peel off after long time of use: MAYBE YOUR N76 IS FAKE OR MAYBE YOU DONT HAVE ONE!!!!!!

This fone is really great!!! Nokia N76 did not get the design of motoRAZR and in fact it is more luxurious and beatiful than the RAZR.. the metal plate around it will not peel off after 3 weeks like what other said!!! N76 really rocks!! it has a lot of great features that RAZR dont have!!!

I so agree with everything that you said! I am about to purchase this phone. I was having doubts then, but not anymore.
If you love your phone, it needs some TLC. It's going to be a give and take relationship.
I, myself, have been waiting for nokia to release a slim clamshell phone (i have N71 and I still love it). I don't care if it looks like RAZR, it's from Nokia. Need I say more? =)

i bought this fone 1 mnth back just 2-3 days after it was launched...and i have never seen sucha case ever...the silver paint all over the foNe body started chipping of within 15 days and the fone is lying with the customer care now and i have been refused to an exchange of the handset for a new 1..AND THE CUSTOMER CARE PPL TOLD ME THT THIS PROBLEM IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT AND IS A COMMON COMPLAINT THWY R GETTING

to nisha memory card is meant to store more data eg songs, video clips etc which is
external ie 64mb 512mb 1gb 2gb.

I bought my n76 abt a week ago and so far so good. Those people who kept saying that the metallic bits peel off or even the ones that turned yellow, the only thing i can say is: Take better care of ur n76 then!!! For those with sweaty palms,take note that the metal bits will stain with constant contact with water.
I suggest getting a cover for this hp n put it inside a zipped waterproof, shockproof (for those klutzie ppl who drops hp frequently by accident.. like me hehe) bag when not in use.
I guess what I'm tryna say here is that, only get this hp if u really really love the look n functions of this hp with a passion. Cos it needs extra TLC to survive lol.
As for me, I dont mind doing all these things... cos i FRIGGING love everything abt this hp.
Oh btw, I managed to open the flip with one hand many times b4 ( I have a love for eating oily finger food u see). Guess u have to practice the art of opening an N76. I place my middle and pointing finger on the base at the top of hp, pinkie finger n ring finger clutching the left side of the hp n then with my thumb, i flip it open, with some force applied to pinkie+ middle finger. N no, I dont have big strong hands, I'm pretty skinny with small fingers so.. if I can do it, u big burly man hands can do it too! As well as my fellow females.
n has anyone thought abt the fact that the only reason nokia copied motorola designs is cos.. they're tryna cater to those ppl who griped that they wish nokia had designs like motorola. Believe me, there's a lot of ppl out there looking for motorola designs with nokia quality. so i think its pretty ok marketing plan for nokia. n oh yeh.. nokie might even be trying to phase out motorola.. why get motorola cos of their designs when u can get nokia n76 eh??

Its good to improve own products, but very bad to steel someones design. Yes i am talking about motorola RAZR V3 AND V3X. Its true that i am also a regular user of nokia. But could not agree with nokia about the design of this product. Shame on nokia.
