These phone are compromise of tech and design (well for moto at least).
If you want a really high tech phone, go for the bricks.
But to say that its not hight tech is wrong. Tech is not just whats inside the phone.

Mr or Mrs PxvC can you tell me the significance of the Nvidia Goforce 4800 chip?? You guys should remember that when you buy a slim phone you make compromises on function. Neither the N76 or the Razr maxx v6 have a 3.2 megapixel camera (needed to print photos). Neither have a Xenon flash(needed for dim-light photography). Neither have video recording to VGA(30fps) standard. Neither have WLAN. Yet they both pretend to be cutting edge devices. The truth is the slim form has compromised function. If you want technical marvels, look elsewhere.

lovely piece of design by nokia. now some of us so much in love with nokia can have a slim design in our hands though the battery performance may be so diappointing.

@ keita
nokia have had great improvements? yeah, nokia did have improvements, but the manufacturere who improved the most was arguably motorola. just take at how crappy the motorola phones where about one and a half years ago. most of them had no mp3 players, no fm radio, even their newly introduced $1000AUD RAZR had just a VGA camera. they were clearly out of date.
But look at the new motos now. at least when you compare the functions of motorola phones with other brands, you will find they do match the complexity of their competitors or in some cases, they are even better.
Also, the n76 was announced 6 months after the RAZR maxx. So does this mean that with a whole six months of new technologies introduced, the n76 should be way better than the RAZR maxx? Hardly. Sadly, nokia still hasn't put the touch sensitive keys, the HSDPA, the Nvidia Goforce 4800 chip and so on.

taking into consideration on what Moto and nokia has been giving its consumer with their camera quality, then we can say that nokia would have a higher probability of equipping this phone with probably not an excellent but a great camera while on the other hand, Moto has produced the crappiest camera starting from v3 razr.
as for the display, I don't know if moto is still using that disgusting menu icons that isssss so cheap, while great improvements has been seen and is still being seen in Nokia.
Yes Moto started the Razr phenomena but it all comes down to which company would produce a better Razr looking phone.
I've used v3x and seen some new moto phones and they're all crappy and sooo outdated. Moto had focused more on the design and forgotting functions.
the 2mm diference pipol have been whining about isn't too big of a difference considering that with just a 2mm of difference can give you a better and worthier option on which to spend your hard- earned cash and that you would be enjoying in the long-run ^_^

and also i'd expect something better than the RAZR maxx from nokia, since the razr maxx was anounced six months before the n76,
the n76 had a whole six months of
technological advancements. But still, something that was introduced six months before this phone can be as good or even better than this phone?

Please, user friendliness depends entirely on a system you are used to. So don't bring that up as any kind of advantage. Nokias and SEs are as unfriendly to me, as Motos are for you. One more really big thing - high end Motos are made from stylish and more reliable metal. Not cheap-o plastic. So in that respect, you're still not over V3 even... Let alone beautiful V6 design.

Forgot, thinner? maxx is 2mm thinner overall. Can you count?
106.5 x 52 x 13.7 = 172,2 (n76)
104 x 53 x 15 = 172 (maxx)

3 post below. Show me pictures where n76s camera is better then maxx. N76n doesnt have autofocus. Look at mobile review, theres a review on n76. I would say that maxx is a little, little bit better. Don't talk about something you dont know please.

This phone has a 16m screen, a better camera its thinner and its way more user friendly than razr maxx v6. The only thing maxx has that n76 dosent is the hsdpa connections and little longer battery life.

Well done Nokia. You have finnaly managed to beat the RAZR V3. Unfortunately RAZR V3 is years old by now, and the new Moto flagship is MAXX V6. Well, I guess a few more years...
