Just got the phone... howcome, mine has an excellent battery life? Factory charge took a day to drain... my BF played the Ngage games most of the time, while I listened to the Radio and tinkered the unit. Hmm unit has good animation, but disappointing camera :( images are washed, but not so bad at least waaay better than N76. I love the 3D tones, and its effects!! really cool. Go check it out! =)

I cannot choose between the N81 8gb or this one, i'm reading the comments and checking out the features and still cant make up my mind... someone please help me....

I have read that the features of the n81 are pretty cool. But please some one tell me honestly, how long does it take to open a message?

Has anyone ever used the GPS? I would like to know that because it might be of use to me since I'm in the woods alot.

btw I like the overall features of this phone but so many people are posting negative comments. And a lot of them are NON-Nokia lovers. I'm into a lot of phones and would like to try out this N81.

nokia generally has a bad battery life, a sony ericsson would last two days longer than any nokia battery if both phones are used for same thing and same duration.

Just wanted to know, Does the N81 2GB has a problem with its slide whereby Nokia has fixed it in N81 8GB ??? Thanks !

Hallo Administrator..
I wish to inform you that this phone doesn't have Stereo FM Radio. Instead it's only a Visual Radio. Your specification might cause misleading of information as this Visual Radio requires internet connection and this phone is not a-built-in-fm-radio.

thanx to al for your advices.
i tried reducing mu usage
2-2 1/2 hr of music
1/2 hr of internet usage
1/2 hr to total talk..
no texts
still my battery lasted only 1 1/2 day..
i even have prob in my video's.dey lag.
plz help me out...

Yep battery life is great!! It lasts me a full day with continious Web Browsing, MXit for sometime, listening to 2hours of music, and some call and texts. WAY better than my N80 which would die after 8hours of similar use.

My n81 lasts for about 3 days, i believe it would last longer if i didnt play alot of music and cutting down on mxit time. If you want ur battery 2 last long u must turn down ur display to 1 and when listening 2 music use the earphones. I am happy with my battery life.

Oh, I see. A slight error from GSMArena. Yep, N81 8GB only has 12Mb user mem.

Yep,the specs they have posted are wrong, my N81 (2GB) also has 25mb totaly user internal memory, and mine had about 17.8mb memory when i got it. The N81-8GB is the one with 12mb.

Dude... i got the N81(2 GB)... and it does have 25 MB internal memory... about 9mb is already used in the phone software and stuff, and got 16mb free...

It's good that GSMArena posted the correct specs of this phone. This phone really has only 12 Mb user memory, NOT 25 Mb. My N81 8GB also had 12 Mb user mem.

After updating to 11.0.045 29-11-07 still music player is running behind even there is a extra key to jump start.This is stupid as exit option must be given,to save battery and accidental start.this was removed farback n N95 with exit option,why not now.Cam is horrible flash is just a bulb nothing more.The plastic front back is hard to creek and gets scrathed easily.Biggest failure Nokia must come back to steel or hard plastic like N82.Even the key pad is plastic cheap gives noises.I promise never to buy Nokia products again after 500$ drained
