Ooh! I forgot to mention,I will be trying out the 'NEW' n82 soon [release date pending] so will give you my honest opinion on this candybar version. Nokia website promotes it big style so lots of info there to wet your appetite. Just hope the Symbian software is more fluid than the n81 and n95 current software rubbish. Ironic really, Apple release only 'ONE' phone [iPhone] after long inhouse testing and get it right 1st time but Nokia rely on features to sell phones as software quality is so naff. Would of bought the iPhone if it had stereo bluetooth but sadly not. They left it out due to quality concerns in radio frequency. [yes quality, take a note Nokia] Maybe version 2 is Q1 will have it and i can forget about the nSeries rubbish i've suffered? Roll on 2008...

Hi, have owned both n81 and n95 8Gb versions and sent them both back for refund. Why? Yes, both are great features wise [camera etc..]but latest symbian software is just awful. Sorry to inform you of this but its true. It suffers random freezes and annoying slow downs of menus or playback for no apparent reason at all? So if you really want any of these latest NSeries phones then be prepared to get stressed out when it freezes up in the middle of what your doing.

I brought my n81 for a software patch to 10.0.035, guess what they told me to wait 4 hours...and i really is piss. The phone really likes to freeze up often and even after the patch is the same. At least with the patch it hangs less. I think all sambian OS are memory suckers even for a n95 it still has this problem. n95 has very low battery life. For music and simple uses but a SE. For more features and wifi can get a nokia but live with the carp os.

I was down at one of the Telco retail shop yesterday as my fren wanted to buy this phone.
He choose the N81SD version and we found that the built and slide quality had a major issue.
The phone did not slide well even after we ask for a second set, the joints of the phone had gaps bigger then that of the N76..my fren had to get a phone so he ended up paying a lot more got the 8GB version as in SG the Telco is only getting good contract discount on the Sd version ...now we know why...trying to clear this crappy quality batch of phones.
So far the 8GB is serving him well other then one of the music button is already scratched within 10mins of use. Well done Nokia!!! well done.

- vedio streatimg is very slow like slow
motion in movies
- Camera is really bad, quality is seams
