A month after I got the phone I started having problems with my menu key, some months later, the screen wouldn't come on, then the volume key wouldn't work anymore. In exactly 6months, the phone became completely useless. I had to let it go, any idea of a better phone within the same price range?

It's a great phone. has very slight problems with the firmware but its outsmarted by other features of it

Hii... I have purchased the phone 6 months back. first three months there was no prob... but now it was taking rest in Nokia Care only. I got a key pad problem. I got the problem for 3 times in Three months... Please Dont buy this phone... Better try any other one... This was my personal openion.

Had a problem 1day when i opened the slider the screen did'nt come on it was totally blank anyway i took it in 4 repairs an they replaced it with a new one im glad i didnt hear it was liquid damage coz thats what you always hear when you take your phone in 4 repairs,iwill gladly recommend this phone 2 any1

hey i m usin n81 for past 8 months i had no such problem until 1 day my keypad didnt work. Today also i m facing such problem. Otherwise its a great great phone.

i heard tht with this phone you can retrieve deleted msgs is it true..and if yes hw do i retrieve that info

Lol N81 is still worth more than a N78? That realy is strange, i wonder why its like that? Anyway im still a very happy N81 user for almost 2years now. :)

Gr8 phone . U ppl just stop complainimg abouth the camara . A picture taken with a cell phone will never be the same as a picture taken with a digital camara . If u want taken pictures a lot just buy a digital cam .

i have this phone now for the last 1 and half years and have had no problems exept of my keypad fadind other than that it is an excellent phone and im upgrading now but still keeping it for backup

Anonymous, 15 Jul 2009when i decided to buy this phone.. it was okay.. for a few ... moreIm assuming yours was Vodafone branded? That explains EVERYTHING, blame VodaCom for that,their developers destroy the phones speed and stability with their bloatware. I got mine sim free and unbranded, paid cash, had well over a year and still going great. The N82 is no longer available either,its simple,they phased them out to bring in N79 ,N85,and 5800.
