The sensibility of navi wheel is depends on the temperature,sweat in your finger,firmware etc
Not only on N81 but this shit occurs on many navi equiped Nseries
And I think yours isn't fake
I mean the china phone which has same shape as N81 but lacks in features
Don't regret to buy it

Update to V20 if the Navi-Wheel doesnt work well.
Well the N85 and N79 are nearly here, the only FP2 devices that make for a great worth while upgrade to N81, N96 as well. Cant wait to try out that N85. :)

Mine wasn't working properly untill i upgraded the firmware. I had to press it very hard and then to slide the finger around it. Now it became more sensible - a simple touch-and-slide is enough. Once in a while some people get faulty units even from the original manufacturer. Don't be upset, even with my weel working I never use it though. I prefer the old fashioned way. If you have a chance, try another phone in a store to see if it works for you. You may not like it or will find it unconvienet to use.

the price stay high because N81 is a high demanded phone especially the microSD version (at least in my country,indonesia)..
