This cell is at best average but when i consider what i've paid for my n81 i feel totally cheated.Nokia have scrimped on this one,the build quality is atrocious.I bought n81 on the assumption ngage gaming was going to be good..nokia have let me down big time.Even if nokia were ploughing serious resources into ngage gaming the n81 peripherals wouldn't be able to provide me any satisfactory gameplay.It's the last time I will buy a cell based on reviews written by people who are obviously just sucking up and trying to please nokia

yaar last nite my memory card god corrupted all of a sudden.... recently it has been givin a few problems as well. its just been 20 days that i hav this fone...
what cud b the reasons nd what do i do???

Some memory usage came from messages you have on your phone. Let say your inbox. It uses some space specially when you have a picture message, sound, or any media files on your messages. This type of message uses a lot of space.

n81 8gb is much better than n81 because n81 8gb has a built in flash drive that has scanning, defragmenting and repair tools!

Hi I just got my N81 on 12th Sep., and I'm quite happy with it. Though I wanted to buy N82 but it's not sold in Egypt with guarantee!!
However, I am having a problem with the phone memory, I receive a msg saying that there is no enough memory, I must delete some data...when I don't save any data on the phone memory.!
Also, when I checked teh memory details of the phone memory,I found that the memory in use is 25 MB..and free memory 40KB...!!!!
Any help?

internal memory only filled up with small register files
if we manage it then it won't be a big problem

Its been confirmed by many users that it can take 8GB MicroSD!!! Internal Memory fills up because you're not managing your phone properly. I still have 12mb left with a few apps installed in internal mem.

Only difficult you will find is that, E series phones would have large phone memory where you will not find in this case if you have bought an N81(normal).

Problem with Memory card.
Whenever I restart my phone, memory card doesn't get deducted. I have to remove memory card once and then plug again to make the memory card work.
The memory card is a 2 GB Nokia memory card provided along with N81.
Is any one facing this kind of problem ??
Any solutions ??

N81 or N81 8 GB.
People who are planning to buy N81, I suggest better go for an N81 8GB. The reason is
* I read in one of the Nokia forum that N81 supports only 4 GB memory card.
* N81 8GB will have enough amount of memory so you will be able to run applications and flash games that is quite large which will be not possible if you have an N81(normal) due to its main memory limitation.
* The phone just fills up phone memory even though you install applications/ themes into memory card in N81(normal).

AR, 17 Sep 2008Pls advise- If any call comes it always shows the number no... moreit is happning coz the numbers are present on both on sim and phone memo.or coz of duplicate enteries of no. so you should erase contacts from phone or sim or delet duplicates.you should keep them on 1.

I just got the phone...before i had the e65 from nokia...both phones are great but the n81 is very different from e65...a lot of new things...i have the phone for 4 hours...so..we will talk again after several days..i hope i made a good deal

but,Im sure if you didn't take any risky activity on your phone before then it should be a recondition phone,a black market phone.

AR, 17 Sep 2008Pls advise- If any call comes it always shows the number no... morehey, if you want your phone to show you the name of the person thats calling as well you should have only antry of that number, sometimes the number gets stored on the phones memory as wellas on the sim card. The best way to avoid your problem is to use only your phones memory...I hope that helps, even though I dont use the N81 I had a similar problem with my N70-1

Are you guys sure that the n81 2gb(not the 8gb) version supports 8gb card because on nokia forum its mentioned only upto 4gb (Please mail at catchRCP@gmail.com ). I have just purchased n81 and wanted to upgrade its memory so please reply asap.
