i have used n81 for 3mths now. though i'm a "die hard" nokia fun, i'm awfully disappointed with this model.nothing works. the keypad does not function after 2weeks use.can't use the navigation keys. the battery runs down at 10pm if used or not.
i can only receive calls and make calls only from the phone memory.
i wish the nokia people will contact me because this is a total disgrace from nokia.

I have problem too with internal memory
it filled 14-15mb (not as bad as you,hehe.. ^^)
but when I upgraded it to V.20
the internal only cost 9-10mb
try to upgrade it dude
in nokia service centre or download it with your N-series PCsuite

The N81 has 25mb of internal memory NOT 12mb. The Processor is a Freescale i.mx31 single core CPU, running at 369mhz. In the latest V20.0.056 Firmware it has the FP2 Menu transitions and effects, and the navi-wheel now works in Messaging, Contacts as well as the Gallery and Music Player like it used to. It also has WRT- WEB RUN TIME WIDGETS SUPPORT, and Flashite3.0 so it has Desktop YouTube support in the built in Web browser these last two features apply to N82 and N95-8GB as well, if you could please add some of those to the spec sheets. Thanx.

N81 microSD and 8GB version is same all the way except the external memory
I recommendate the microSD one because we can upgrade the external memory due to our needs
although actually the N81 microSD can upgraded more than 8GB with microSD card
while the N81 8GB is stuck on the max storage of 8GB
and when its 8GB flashdrive get broken by virus,wrong app,etc. it will be hard & expensive to fix

Hi,
I am planning to buy Nokia E51. I am just confused as E51 is not very good in audio quality. Is this phone (N81) will include all the features as E51 has?

mbbm, 14 Aug 2008done it but still d same.some app that installed in external need some space in the internal for register
and of course I can't suggest you to erase it
if you really need the app
btw,are you still use the firmware V.11?
N81 2G is better
because we can enlarge the external memory with our needs
and the fact is that N81 2GB can be enlarged more than 8GB with microSD (but not suggested)
while N81 8GB with built-in flashdrive harder to fix if get broken by virus,wrong app,etc.

looks nothing special at all... to me sounds like its got wifi and lost alot of other features. like a 2 meg cam. O_o wtf yet again another basic cheap looking nokia..

loki, 13 Aug 2008your internal memory maybe used for too much application,me... morei have not used or installed any application on d phone memory but on d appl mgr, it shows some app installed in which i hav no knowledge of and therefore afraid 2 delete coz it might coz d phone 2 malfunction. my contacts i believe is d only thing i know dat is used on d memory which only indicates kb size being used and not mb. anymore suggestions please? by d way, below is what i have posted on N81 8gb opinions page so please feel free to reply regarding it also.

hi guys! i am an owner of an N81 2gb. i only bought a couple of weeks back but am now thinking of selling it again or swapping it with a N81 8gb. d reason 4 such is due to d small phone (internal) memory that d 2gb has.so far, i have not installed anything on its internal memory but d memory details indicate dat i have used 16mb out of its 18mb internal memory.i checked on d app mgr 4 possible applications installed but only found small sized app wid only kb in size installed on it.i have also deleted all files that is being shown on d file mgr but to no avail of freeing more memory. can anyone pls help by suggesting on possible ways on freeing my internal memory and can anyone pls advise if it wud be better to swap my N81 2gb wid an N81 8gb? Please anyone?

try to erase some unused application,unimportant messages notes or phone contacts...
p.s. :if you have 2GB external memory, I think you don't have to save anything in the internal
