NB: Make sure memory on your phone (not memory card) is enough thats were the downloads will go to sometimes it ask you to choose card or phone. follow the instructions on the pc and the phone to complete your downloads. N81 is definitively the better phone, hands down...
Can you play divx movies on this phone if you download divx player? And if that is possible, where could i download divx player from???

hey guys,
i have an n81 phone.no wonder this is a mind blowing device.nothing compared to it but there is only one problem in it.
it does not support .avi format file.i wanted to download .avi files on to my n81.but its not giving me an option to even save it.just upset about this.none of the nokia phones support .avi files but still we can download and see it in a different player.but though i have downloaded the new version of divx player on my handset.still on use.this is the only issue with n81.if any body can help me will be appericated

according to this site, www.squidoo.com/n81, n81 records video in VGA 640*480 pixels, but according to gsmarena, it records in QVGA only. which is true?

the n81 (with microsd slot) in warm graphite (silver) trim is more beautiful than the n81 8gb mocha trim. n81 in cobalt blue sucks!

I not sure whether i should get this phone just because its made of plastic... that can really be annoying, my samsung D900i really pisses me off because of the build quality and the cheap plastic, so should i get this phone?

I have been using the N81 since jan 2008... i have the microSD version(silver).. my post should answer all possible ques regarding this phone... the screen is brilliant 2.4".. Sonic experience of this phone is top notch, no doubt about that... this phone has in all 25mb of internal memory, and not 12 mb as said by GSMARENA.. the phone is really snappy and fast.. the navi functioanlity is really cool and fun to use.. the keypad is not as bad as stated by the review on this site, its fine for me... the volume on loud speaker is not as loud as N73 or 6233, but its really clear and does not crack at higher volumes, in terms of quality of sound produced through it, its better than the latter... the camera quality is poor.. so if clicking snaps is ur prioriy, then this phone is not for u.. the slider gets a lil shaky after some use... the back cover creaks a lil, i mean very lil and u can barely make out unless u stick ur ear to it... the build of the phone is very sturdy and feels solid... if there is something i don like about this phone is the slider... as for everything else, it suffices me in every way.. wifi is good and easy to use.. battery life is good.. and YES, there has been a release of a new firmware that boast of certain features of the FP2... check on google to satisfy ur curiosity... hope this helps...
