Zalmoxis, asking someone to buy a standalone camera if they need a good camera on a phone is just an excuse to defend the the phone. A camera is definitely more bulky than a camera phone and that is why I prefer buying a phone with at least a camera that can take photos with acceptable quality rather than a standalone camera. Nokia N81 is also a multimedia phone anyway, so no excuses. What's more is that 2 megapixel in a camera phone is year 2005 technology. This is year 2007 and almost going to be 2008, so the minimum should be 3 megapixel. Of course, other than 3 megapixel, you need features like autofocus and flash.

I've read about the N82. It's supposed to have 5MP camera with Xenon flash. But I like the N81 so much more than the N82. Cause I love listening to music more than taking pictures. And I think the N81 is more beautiful because it's a slider, a spring-assisted slider unlike other previous Nokia sliders. By the way, the W960 is coming sooner than N81 I think with touchscreen, WiFi, 8GB flash memory.

I don't see the point of having an 8 gigabyte hard disk, since you can't switch the hard disk which means that the storage space is limited.

this phone is way too cool, how can others say that itz big, only 2mp camera, blalblabla. Are you photographers?Buy a professional camera, but i bet you'll wont make a call, navigate the internet,listen music and play games with that . Keep it like this NOKIA. By the way, this will be my next phone.

I like the design of the front more than the back. I also like the grey color on the side. I think it's much nicer than the blue one. If it really sounds like the N91, headphoneswise, and if it really has louder stereo speakers than the N95, as what the guys at Nokia Go Play initially said, plus the 3.5mm audio jack, dedicated music keys, lock switch key, latest Nokia Music Player interface, and 8GB of internal memory, then it's the ultimate music phone of all! It's the best, it's the greatest music phone ever! I just hope that the sound quality, headphoneswise, is really and actually identical to that of N91, plus the stereo speakers are great!

Guys, come on it is an N-Gage phone.
It is meant to carry the N-Gage platform...
And it looks like N81 is going to pull it off.
It is not as convenient as N-Gage QD but still
very close... (check the horizontal position)
Biggest disappointment 4 me is just two action keys...
Everything else is a plus!
Plain cell phone 4 talks;
Awesome media player;
2 Mpix and Vga video is not so bad 4 a phone too. Right?
At least 4 me...

N3300, N-Gage, N6600, N-Gage QD, SE M600i
Except 4 N6600 all of them are without cam...
But check this out:
N3300 sounds better than my i pod!
N-Gage and N-Gage QD best gaming on a phone ever! Even today! (one game 30-50MB)
SE Great business solution...! The QWERTY Rocks, The Touch Screen is more comfortable than the HTC Touch it self!
So the thing is!
Satisfy your passion!

i just saw the the video of this on youtube, its so gorgeous!!! this will be my next phone!!!
I DONT MIND IF THE CAMERA IS ONLY 2mp, coz i already have a digicam, im more interested on its other features like N-GAGE gaming capabilities, Music, Browsing & of course its design and its a SMARTPHONE! =)
Duh, SE Phones are more expensive, specially K850, W910 & the W960!!!

Biggest Drawback of this over-rated phone: No Autofocus!, also for it's price it should have 3mp sensor resolution!
another was that the keypad - just like any nokia sliders are inconvenient to key in because the slide keyboard lacks space for the protruding end just like we always see on motorola, samsung and new SE sliders :)

phone looks nice.. i like the glossy finish.. but maybe it's gonna be a "fingerprint magnet"
actually, i'm SE wphone fan and user... but looks like Nokias are having nice features...
however, i will not go for a Nokia before i'm sure they have improved their build quality... so many nokias with paint going off...
and nokias are realy too BIG in size...
just fix these problems and maybe i'll be a new nokia fan...
