Can someone please tell me if its ok for me to upgrade my phone? I don't seem to know what the problem is. It recently just from time to time simply closes any application i'm working on and its really getting on my nerves. Otherwise its a great phone. Please tell me if upgrading is the solution.

nokia should update this phone.but not like n96 and n86.those are high-end models.a mid range n-gage that would be on par with 5730 but with slide out numpad,not qwerty.this phone has a good appeal when closed,with that military olive.those music buttons are in the way,along with the ugly button design in general.maybe something closer to 5730.i think im basically suggesting a 5730 with numpad slideout.

Please can any one assist me with an answer, my nokia n81 8gb corrupt an sis and sisx file i try to install on it but accepts jar files.I dont really know if the problem is from my phone.

Tsepz, 05 Jul 2009V21.0.010 is hackable, with HelloOX1.3 ,mine has been on V2... moregood news omg lol any idea where i can get those stuff thx for the reply

I had it for a year it was perfect!Good battery, Wi-fi, a lot of music and everything a phone should have.

gayan3000, 05 Jul 2009i have updated the firmware to the latest (V 21.0.010) it g... moreV21.0.010 is hackable, with HelloOX1.3 ,mine has been on V21.0.010 for 4months now,and hacked it a month after getting V21, you need a certificate to install HelloOX though.

i have updated the firmware to the latest (V 21.0.010) it gives good performance and stability to the phone and few improvements with increased security , hacking tools such as binpda etc wont work with it anymore , and the menus work smoothly with a new random transaction popup animations which is very cool . i think everyone should upgrade but dont even think about hacking ur phone after that which means you cant install pirated stuff and hacked stuff on it , i guess its all ok for me to tune up for the latest firmware :-)

I've been using Nokia n81 for about 1 year. It fell and got wet many times and it's still working like when i bought it. It's not very good filming or fotographing (only good if it's to send video messages)but ITS BEST CELLPHONE FOR GAMES. The two keys on top of the screen alow you to play games (emulators for example) like if you had a PSP or a Game boy. I play Super Mario Bros. all the time, fast and with the graffics from the Gameboy advanced

probably u didnt take care of ur phone much , u dropped it u pressed the buttons on it like a maniac for the past few years or months , this phone is great and never gave me any problems and its music is louder which u wont even expect to hear music from it on its loudest volume level .

i upgraded my phone into v21..the problem is i cant use the camera in playing metal gear solid in NGAGE..other than that this phone is really amazing..

This mobile is not promising as I thought.
In less than one year. I took it to the warranty twice to fix problems including disconnection from the network and keypad does not work properly.
Now after the warranty period finished by less than one month. the keypad does not work at all.

Mandy, 26 Jun 2009can someone please help me..i got this problem about my pho... moremr mandy , u first format ur memory card in ur phone, & then scan for viruses. i feel the re must be problem with ur camera setting.

hi im using a nokia n81 8gb at the moment and someone wants me to exchange it with a n77 is it really worth doing that , cuz except the tv function i see that n81 8gb is advanced than the n77 in every aspect ? is it worth enough to exchange it just because of the n77 tv function ? how much maximum memory does the n77 support , is it working with 8 gb memory cards ?

i have n81 8gb i think it is the best phone i have ever but i want to buy n97... what is the best phone.. can u tell me wat unit of nokia nseries is the very best off all... but i love my phone nokia n81 for now

People listen up! Why are you so concern about upgrading the firmwares? To get more out of your phone? If your cell phone is working properly and nothing wrong with it, LEAVE IT ALONE! Half of the time if not most, UPGRADING IS NOT FOR THE BETTER. Remember, once you have upgraded, and problems start to surface, you are not able to restore the old one. So please people stop crying if your cell phone start acting up after upgrading. Also people please, when you post, do not make like you are texting here, use proper and the whole word. yup dats true....the colour of the phone fades very fast..but not only in N-81..also in d latest N-series phones...other than dat der r no problems wid N-81 8GB... and for the difference...N-81 has 2 MP camera while N-85 has 5 MP camera....
