Why do people moan about the n series phones crashing its very simple close your applications after you use them the ones with the blue circle over them adn the phone will work fine YOU are making it work to hard like a computer jesus why have you even got smart phones

cant understand the guys who are criticising the camera. i think its good enough for a cellphone, if you need something better go buy a digital camera. there ya'll have your 10 megapixel... i say this cos i think the other features the phone has are outstanding, only SE w960i can compete. but i dont like SE symbian, my n73 runs much better than most of the SE phones my friends have.

my N80 hangs/slows down at least 4x a week!!! screwed up phone. lets c if this one carries the same genes :) i'll wait for a while b4 i'll buy this phone. for the time being, i'm still stuck with my n80 and is suffering everyday using the damn phone

Ok plg..8gb memorynya..tpi bahapa tah cameranya 2 megapixal..buduh2..spatutnya 3 mp ke..or 4 or 5mp..mcm n80..bah..dasar jua eh..btw design ok plg..tapi aku cadangkn lagi sal cameranya..cubatah bgi xenon flash mcm SE..LOw kaliah nokia sal atu..anyway kalau membuat hp ani..baiktah complete2 ani ada udah gprs,3g,wifi tapi nada edge..dasar..n jua gprsnya ah..cubatah class 32 walau pun walau ada 3g..3g lagi mahal..k..atu ja..

I think this ain't N80's sucessor but more of N91s. nokia only follows the numbering and design of N80 into this but it seems that spec wise it sucesses all N91's features like the 8Gb drive and 3.5mm jack

wow i loved this phone am still waiting for diz stuff a replacement to my old n80, y i loved n81? i think thiz stuff will no longer freeze everytime i was browsing using wifi..
nokia everybody says they hate nokia, but for me, nokia is very useful for me from agile messenger, ybrowser/fexplorer, zipman, which you cant find to any symbian phone right?
i think you knew what the heck am i tryin to say, if you are in the philippines most people print their pix to 3r, 4r and 5r why are you guys longing for a 10mp phone, why dont you buy a digital camera for that, hmmm...
i do have a SE P910i and P990 but really hate it my battery sucks thats why you cant really please people, i loved the k800 and k810 for their beautiful cybershot camera but hate their k510i cybershot the camera is not as fine compared to k8 series of SE, i think thats all... 8gb is enuf for me, thanks nokia more power

This is a waste of Nokia's time. I mean, I'm not a fan of theirs, but not a hater either. I'm expecting great competition towards the other companies who're capable of currently trumping Nokia such as Motorola. I mean, this is just like their V9 and Z8. Only thing is that you've got the 'internal' memory which will be beat by the 8GB cards coming out soon, the larger screen which doesn't really make MUCH of a difference, and the symbian OS with motion sensors. If Motorola stepped up to the plate, and also Samsung, and joined the game of making the best 2cm thick phone, I wonder who'd win. I mean, Motorola's already packed a processor in their V9, and has a symbian who's only flaw is in the slight discomfort within it's ergonomics. Samsung's got 3.15Mp cams in the phones that are thin(er) like/then the V9. So why can't Nokia step it up like them? I assure you, there's nothing bad about things cam, because of its' lens size, it'll be able to take pictures of documents pretty well, but it's still such a low quality camera for regular uses.
Sorry, but I'm only looking at the cons, which is what we'll have to be looking at nowadays, because all the phones are starting to get similar... (looks at Nokia) But that's not always a bad thing, though in this case, I've got to say, that's the backfire for the N81. It's JUST only a step above the other phones that have 2Mp or Symbian, or even a walkman phone. Nokia's got to stop filling in the gaps, and start making some of their own, or otherwise, start breathing in the dust that Motorola/Samsung will bring later on, and what SE is already on the balls of their game on doing.
SE will release a phone for knowledge, then not deal much with the publicity of it to work on their next phone, unlike how Nokia goes right ahead and releases something without changing something for the better and makes a whole big commotion about it. Then, they try to make another phone, but find out that people are already complaining about their last release, then they go ahead and make another version. :/ not good...
Cons over various other phones;
-Symbian-wise; I feel that Nokia could've done ALOT of not, a little better as Motorola's already felt the wave of Symbian power, and usability.
-Camera; could've been better, but this isn't a product that I know I'm going to go for at all, so I'm not going to really go indepth about that, because the specs speak for themselves.
-Size/form factor; I can consider everything that was packed into here, but I believe that it could've been made smaller, or the edges rounded, or the materials of it changed to make it seem thinner, like how the K850 does it. Though it looks big at first, when you really look at it, it's only so much bigger then a W810, or for Nokia users, smaller then a N77.

hello nokia! r u in ur sences N80 have 3 megapixel and N81 have outdated 2 megapixel??? we r waiting for 10 megapixel camera mobile with video recording capability of 120 fps.plz tell us how much time we should have to wait?????????????
