Some Questions about N81 8GB, and N95 8GB
1.
in the Music Player, can i scroll down to get the Next Track like in Walkman Phones?
2.
How does the Battery last in N81 8GB?
3.
i wont be stuffing my phone with Applications, just Music and Pictures.
will this Slow the Phone down ?
4.
Is the Nav-Wheel Reliable and Responsive?
5.
is the Sliding Mechanism and Tough?
6.
Which earphones does it come with In-Ear or Standard? (PS: il be using my Walkman earphones)
im thinking of getting N81 8GB since im not bothered about Camera Functions. i need to Upgrade my SE W850i i can get W890i/W960i
but i have my eyes on this N81 8GB , iv seen it a couple of shops and i really Like it. iv tested my mates N81 8GB, it amazed me!

I bought the 2gb N81 last week, and i'm returning it now because the place where i bought it from provides really bad customer service. I didn't even get the 2gb micro SD.
I have a question for anyone who has the N81 8gb. Is the signal on that phone really bad? Like it drops down constantly??? That happened with the 2gb N81 I had. I'm planning to buy the N81 8gb now, so can anyone please tell me how good or bad the signal is.....

Well going by what you are saying. You are either one unlucky person when it comes to phones OR you're an Anti-Nokia SE user trying to convince yourself that you have made a good decision by buying an SE lol!
Now the W960 Music Player may look nice but what idi0t stares at their Music Player the whole time whilest listening to music? And anyway N81 is A LOT better at Music than a W960, its NOT about the look but about performance and N81 performs better than W960.
The SEs are slow and UNDER SPECD: No EDGE, No WI-FI (G), No Built-in 3.5mm jack (EVERY other Manufactorers Music phone has a 3.5mm jack,its important so don't tell its not)
, they have slow 220mhz CPUs, and absolutely NO gaming platform,also they have little apps,and development for them is VERY slow.
Don't ever tell me SE has better customer service than NOKIA because they DON'T, remember P990, M600 and W950 ram and stability issue which SE took forever to fix, and TO THIS DAY those three phones remain unfixed and crippled,yet SE discontinued Firmware releases for them less than a year after release, the users had to BEG AND BEG SE for one more firmware which ended up not solving anything, yet NOKIA have even after a year or two are still updating the N73, AND solved RAM issue in N95 Classic.
Also NOKIA NEVER claimed that N95 Classic has 1200mAh battery SO STOP LYING! Nokia cleary have showed that N95 Classic has a 950mAh battery and that N95-8GB has the 1200mAh battery.
The last time i had a battery problem was with BOTH a SE W900 and NOKIA N80, the latter had a 820mAh battery thats why,but the former (the W900) had a 900mAh battery but still didn't last long, SE aren't that great with battery either so don't lie!
Your little P1 will never give a great Web browsing experience like my N81 or like a E90 does.

Nokia are fragile phones, just shows how well built the phones are from a number 1 manufacture. btw i take good care of my nokia phones. never dropped 1 yet at all !
its coz der firmware messes up the phone big time! nokia add to many features but wats the point ? if u can not use em for a long period of hours?

I am a diehard Nokia fan and am thinking of buying this remarkable set but i have a few questions which i would really appreciate you nokia gurus to help me with.......
In some websites like www.phonearena.com and www.mobile-review.com its mentiioned that the camera records video at QVGA 15/fps. Is that true?
Is the build quality of the n81 8gb different than teh n81?
Does the 12 mb internal memory of the n81 affect its application performances?
Does the n81 have EDGE class 10 or EDGE class 32?
Can the flash on the nokia be used as a flash light?

BTW Coreplayer is free, at least for now :)
I'm not sure if it can play DivX files; I use DivX Player for that

Man U should write those nokia user manuels as U know these phones inside out. I was also having this bt file sharing problem but thanks to U everythin is back to normal.
But I've another problem. My phone's real player cant play the 628kbit/s mp4 vdos, just freezing. I've seen U recommended the core player but
1.does this can play these 628kbits/s or more files.
2.does it can play 30 mb(3:30 min) divx files
3. where I can purchase this player (which site & what price) because any of my friends does not have it
4. how does the installed file with 768kbits/s can be played by this same real player
5. how does my friends n95 original can play the same files with that same dam real player?

The fact that Nokia has only produced 1 dedicated cameraphone that beats ALL Cybershot phones is rather alarming, considering that N82 is not even a Cybershot phone. Yet it produces BETTER image results than ANY Cybershot (perhaps even this G900, but we'll see).
I presume you don't take good care of your Nokia phones. Nokia phones are a bit fragile because they have a lot of moving parts which enables the features of the phone. Nokia phones are chock full of features.
And yes, I agree that Nokia has to do something about extending the battery life.
Two reasons are:
1)The battery capacity is extremely low
2)The features drain too much battery juice

Walkman series are much better and nicer UI wid animiation effect. Nokia music player plain n simple just boring n if nokia did u use animated music player like walkman series der battery will be flat out lol..
Cybershot ! nokia only got one Xeon phone N82 lol...u make me laugh sony got cybershot camera n der awesome n btw sony are release da C702i which will kill da nokia series phone n da G900 which both have touch focus (press on da phone screen n it focuses in n takes picturs) n da N96 lol dat is gona have da weakest battery der lol.
All nokia phones have weak batterys eg n95/n80/n95 8GB etc btw i own SE W950i, P1i, W960i. On se phones i can listen to music surf da net wifi, download stuffs etc (heavy usage n da phones will last 3 - 5 days) nokia dont even make it to da end of 2nd dat loool especially n95 dies in a day lol..
btw i asked nokia so much questions;
- On there nseries website dey say nokia n95 classic comes wid 1200mah battery or summat but it realy comes with 950mah battery wen i askd dem da question dey said no it comes 950mah so i said why is it on website for 1020mah or summat. dey go its for da N95 8GB but if u clearly look at da site its misleading !
- I asked them about repair centre were i had my warranty left and wen i updated firmware via nsu (wen nsu first released) for N91 firmare. the update fialed n give me dead n91 n guess wat i had to pay for repair at c.warehouse n dey said it out of warranty im like i only had it for 3 7months so had to pay £30 for repair.
- N95 slider buggy got it replaced 5x times from nokia still same problem.
- Sent N73 for repair took me 2 months to get it bak n i kept going in circles wid c.warehouse n nokia.
ders many more...which i cant be askd to go on, i just hate nokia.

Go to 'Messaging -> Options -> Settings -> Other'. Then change 'Memory in use' from 'Phone memory' to 'Mass memory'
You'll be able to receive large files now

lol i knw nokia phones have Stereo Widening, n loudness option in music player. So does Sony ericsson have Stereo Widnieng lol..not just nokia. Nokia are rubbish ive been wid Nokia for 8 years now. and the support and misleading infomration i got from them was not worth it after i was paying around about £350 for sim FREE handset. N81 is n will be my last Nokia phone.
in my life i have had 3210/6230/6230i/6280/N80/N73/N80/N90/N95/N91/N81 8GB
look at how much i spent on dese shaite misleding handset. were as sony ericsson wen i ask them a question i got told da truth !

Do what Jon2 said,get CorePlayer, NOKIA realy need to do something about the RealPlayer app,it freezes most vidz.

YES! The N81 has Bass Booster EQ and Loudness,as well as Stereo Widening and Balance for speakers and headphones, that proves YOU have NOT used a N81!
The N81 uses the same Sound chip as N91 so either way even if NOKIA don't say N81 a Music phone the FACT is it OUT PERFORMS ANY SE Walkman!!
And anyway NOKIA say the N81 is a: Music, Video and Gaming Phone, obviously Music is one of the major priorities in N81, why would they put: a dedicated sound chip,with a Touchsensetive Navi wheel (like an iPod), make the music player boot up automaticaly at start up, and Music keys in the same area then? Please explain why they would do all of that and not call it a music phone?
Don't listen to customer service,they don't know much about the phones.

Are you sure? N81 has "Bass Booster" EQ and "Loudness" bass enhancer. I am having doubts if you really own a N81
Look at N95/N95 8GB/N76 they dont make a difference in sound quality due to the limitation in the firmware !
BTW Nokia say the N81 is known as Gaming Phone and if u contact there customer service department they will tell u that the N81 is not a Music (Flagship device like the N91).
I personall do not like wat nokia offer no volume loudness and poor bass effect. Nokia just offer flat bass n it dont make a difference at all.
