KCostas
Thanx bro :-)
And i totaly agree with you this needs to be more like 3250 Forum.
Glad to hear you are also enjoying your N81, its a brilliant phone, and handles great tasks with ease.
Im exactly like you, real heavy user, and il charge it once a day.
Have you tried the new CorePlayer? Ive noticed that it now doesn't drop frame count, everything is VERY smooth and the fact that this phone supports high bit rate videos is an added bonus.
Yep the RealPlayer it has aint great.
The Ngage games are great, the Creatures Of The Deep game is brilliant.
NOKIA did a great job its a well balanced phone.
I also updated to V11.0.045 FW last month.
I deleted Handy Taskman, i found that it made my N81 reboot A LOT and i got JbakTaskman now its running well, although we never have to worry about RAM now since it has quite a lot i use my the taskmanager for the shortcuts to open apps. :-)
Realy a true Multimedia Computer.

i believe that n81 8gb is overall better than n91 8gb..its pretty obvious that its (n81/n81 8gb) is the update of the n91/n91 8gb. wel i dont i have this phone since i cant buy it yet but as i see in this thread you guys really enjoy it alot since u praise it too much.. :-D i will have done the same if i have this phone. i own n91 and i love it so much. pls dont make it a contest between n81 and n91 cos the former is the update of the latter & its pointless to put that two into battle.. yes the n91 is heavy, has awkward keypad, poor screen reso, sluggush (though mine isnt), poor battery life, no camera flash, odd-looking to some of you & outdated...and n81 is lightning fast, has better larger screen, camera flash, naviwheel, stereo speakers, and all the benefits of the latest OS commercially available as of now and lot more improvements.. but i love my n91's audio output no more no less, and i want it that way.. dont tell that i need to change my phone.. yeah i know dat but im honest to say its my dream phone but i cant afford n81 8gb right now.. :-( anyway, can anybody pls help me pls.. i hav trouble downloading songs.. pls email me alivance66@yahoo.com i would deeply appreciate if someone helps me thanks..aaron

Hi everyone! I've read all the comments from the first block up to now, and guess what I found out? It's not the forum as I saw some time ago. I had 3210, sold it while the price was stiil not very low to get N81 8gb. I compare this forum to 3210 one.Where are the questions about software problems (couse there are always some), general usage, usefull tips etc.? All we are concerned now about is which phone is louder or is SE better then Nokia!!! Grow up, guys! Lets be more matured and concentrate on the product you've already got or going to get. Let other models and makes go to their own forum! Just ignore them. Someone said great words few blocks back "Don't urgue with the stupid persons, they bring you to their own level and then beat you with the experience!"
My general empression about N81 8 gb is very good.
1.Many have considered 3210 as the loudest phone on the market and still do.Even with the mono loudspeaker. N81 is not that loud (loudspeaker)and produces less bass but due to the stereo speaker the sound is sharp and clear. I'm satisfied with the quality of the sound through the headphones. The volume doesn't bother me, I'm not deaf, so I never put it on max. Very good bass level, no need of the bassboost as I had on 3210.The music player menu is a bit too complicated but functionable. I'm impressed with the lightening speed the phone scrolls through the songs list! I'm using Handy Taskman to kill the process and to close the music player. Very handy program, I'm using it since my first Symbian phone 6600.
2.The phone is very fast, even with many of the applications open due to the powerfull processor and enough Ram memory. I've upgraded to version 11.0.045 the next day I bought the phone, couse it was hanging and restarting. Now it's fine, but I'm still wating for a better firmware (there are few more bugs to fix). I can tell you that phone behavior depends MOSTLY of the user. If you load it with the immediate tasks without waiting untill it finishes the previous ones you may have it hanged.
          3. The battery life is fine with me. I'm watching 1.5 hour movie a day, listen to tones of music, have my wifi scan and bluetooth on all the time, browsing web where it is possible and of course making phone calls and charge it once a day. For heavy usage like mine the result is adequate.
4.That's my first slider and I love it all! The keypad lock is at the place it's supposed to be. Very convenient, especialy when you want to leave an application on maximized! I used to misspress the buttons first starting the music player instead of pressing the joistic right or down but it's not the issue anymore. Can not make any use of the navy wheel and still using the old fashioned but trusted way of scrolling through the menus.
5.Someone wrote that watching the DivX/XviD movie without the conversion and with the high bitrate is possible. That's true. But it's not that smooth anymore, looks like it drops frames. Built in RealPlayer lacks functionality and codecs. I use "DivX player" with its friendly interface, but for older codecs like Div4 or high bitrate mp4 files, that cant be played with RealPlayer use "Core Player".
There are so many things that I want to tell you about my N81 8gb,but I think you're already bored with my article. To finish it I want to tell those who complain about poor camera, heavy weight, many buttons, weak battery etc. that it is business. The company produces phones for the different market segments (budget phones, high end ones etc.)There are no all-around mobiles, couse in each of them someone will want something else new). Never complain about it, just use what you've got. It's the same as if you bought the CD player and complain that is not playing DVDs! It's not ment to do that, it was not produced for that! Understood?

          FOR EVERYONE:
Read the posting rules before you post!

          And to Tsepz and Jon2:
Keep on the good job! We need guys like you!

                N91 8GB
                What Jon2 said is true.
Please get over the N91, it WAS (PAST TENSE) a nice phone but came with WAY too many bugs. Its slow, lack of RAM so you can't really multitask, its a big and a bit of an unpractical phone for most, the screen is small and utter rubbish, the keypad is horrible, the camera has no flash, its top heavy (not well balanced), and even the Menu key is placed stupidly, even for great audio not many would want it since the N81 is out and has taken away all those issues, and has the SAME sound quality just a bit softer volume, 3D dual speakers, Bigger and better screen, Navi-wheel, Ngage gaming, its faster, lighter and more advanced than N91.
A friend of mine has the N91 8GB but for everyday use he prefers his N95-8gb since the N91 is just too unpractical to use, although it has better sound than his N95 he'd rather not use his N91.
N81 is better than N91 as a Music and allround phone THATS A FACT!

                  @ N91 8GB

Oh really? My cousin owns a N91 8GB as well. He was the one who filled it up with 5GB of music. Then, the phone got slow and hanged up all the time. He updated it to the latest firmware, but the problem still remains.
Plus, the battery dies after 2 days of use.

Don't try to confuse anyone. Before you comment on anything, be sure it is based on sheer facts, and not on opinion.

Hey listen bro I only concern about AUDIO QUALITY,N91 sounded better than any other music phones of every brand, infact N91 beats reputed apple ipods as well.everybody must want agree with me that N91 is only one device which produce greatest sonic experience amongst all devices lol.If you are a great fond of music definately go for N91 8GB.I already loaded 6GB music files, but my phone yet not given me any problem at all.
N91 8GB is a KING OF MUSIC PHONES......

Oh, almost forgot.. Nokia handsets are rather expensive in Finland than in any other country. Don't ask me why, 'cause I don't know.

                                  @ N91 8GB

If you really like your heavy, poor resolution screen and extremely slow N91 so much, then just stick with it. Don't force anyone into buying/not buying one product that he/she wishes to purchase. Geez, just let them choose, okay?

No pun intended, but N91 is a slow phone. Yes, it was a legendary phone back in its glory days. But if you store about 5GB of data into N91 8GB, it becomes sluggishly slow. This is not the case with the new and improved N81 8GB, N95 8GB, and of course, N96.

There is no real difference in sound except that N91 is louder otherwise Sound Quality wise they are even, please get over it, N91 is slow, old and outdated.
