Yes, I obviously agree that the build quality & materials of the N82 is not good enough compare to its price tag. Nokia must improve. But the features are excellent within the price tag. In the end it’s not a perfect phone but it’s the one that got very close to be a perfect phone.

My friend got dust inside the screen after using only one month. But I’m using this phone for 6 months and not a scratch. So wat does it mean? It means how u care ur phone.
If u want to prove that this phone is crap than find a better way, because with this issue u can’t go far. The link about “A Nokia N82 after 3 1/2 Months of Usage! How much worse will it get with Nokia Materials!?” that u post was from “www.symbian-freak.com”. I regularly visit that website & I respect every opinion or post of that website. But I don’t think u visit it regularly, so now I’ll show u wat u missed & don’t want to agree and others on this website who wants to know wat N82 really is -

dudz, 26 Sep 2008does n82 black edition peel off the color or fade away?the keypad's paint has a tendency to peel off in the case of black n82. scratches are also more visible on black.

hi im am very pleased with my n82, in fact i posted this using my n82 br0wser, but i have a questi0n, how l0ng d0es your gps sh0w your locati0n, my ph0ne can detect four satellites but still it doesn't show my positi0n guys help pls.

Hey guys, I'm extremely happy with this Nokia N82!! Back in July 18, 2008 when I first got hold and have owned this phone, as you have probably remembered, I shouted the same way as I have shouted above too (You can't blame me if I like this phone so much, Can you?) and I think I also included that I am still waiting for like a month or so, to evaluate whether there will be bugs or something that will destroy my fun in having this phone. And now that it has been two months and 8 days old, I'm just more than glad to share that I definitely haven't encountered any problems and bugs! Horray!
This phone is really superb and just 3 days ago when we had an Acquaintance Party in our school, the camera power of this N82 was really impressive! In fact my new classmates and schoolmates didn't even have an idea that I had been using a "phone" to take pictures for the 8-hour-long disco party! Yeah!! They thought that I took pictures that whole night til dawn using a digicam! It was only then that they had come to realize that all those hours I'd been using this phone to take pictures when they asked me to borrow my 'digicam' (take note : They thought it's a digicam!) because they wanted to view the pictures that I took. Funnily enough, I never brought a digicam that night! I was really amazed and delighted that they mistook the N82 as a digicam! And they had claimed themselves that the camera quality of the N82 really outperformed all low-end digicams that some of my schoolmates brought that night when we had our photos printed for free at our school campus.
So far, this phone never gave me problems whatsoever.

I lost my n95-1 (!) and bought this as a replacement and am very pleased indeed. Comparing the GPS to the N95-1 (without using the A-GPS function in both cases), the n82 receives a lock quicker. I think I read somewhere the receiver is in the top rather than the base of the phone. Also, the camera is excellent due to the addition of a xenon flash which works very well. A brilliant phone/camera/satnav combo with Wifi too. The screen at 2.4 inches is a little smaller than the N95s 2.6 inches but I hardly noticed that. Highly recommended!!!

Been using N82 for a month and so far it works well beyond my expectation, the camera is extremely good, the picture result is much better than entry level stand-alone digital camera. This is the best camera phone in the world.

my advice don't update till a hack is found for the new firmware .... STICK to v20 its good stable
