Remove all nok... morei did it in another way (i think it is easier) go to nokia´s website, go to get the new ovimaps, choose your model (dont chooose n86 cause it will give you, the maps3.0, so choose e72 and save the file to your computer, then open ovisuite and install it without removin the last version in your phone

battery runs out so fast. i use online browsing(wifi), camera and i have to charge it everyday... My 3g is turned off already... :(

I managed to get free ovi maps on N86.
1. Remove all nokia and ovi maps from phone (app manager)
2. Install maps_installer_3.03_10wk1_b05_s60_3.2.Nocs.sis (i dled it from nokia page and installed it via usb/nokia pc suite).
3. Done :)
It works now, i have new menu aand free car nav. One bug is though that compass is not working.. but no biggie.

Wanted to do a software upgrade unfort. The upgrade is not availble in S.A yet.so il have to stick with v10

josh, 04 Feb 2010xenon is harsh and can be to bright, I have heard that v30 ... moreThat will be so cool :)) i really don't need more than 8 mpx .. i hardly print more than that ! we don need 12 mpx we need to improve the current 8 to the max .. i wonder what the diff. bet 8 and 12 ! what u gonna do with that !
i remember days when we were satisfied with 3.2MPx of the N73 and it was an amazin device hahahahahahhaaaa
The overall performance of the device is very good ..
i never faced anyproblems with battery gps wifi ..etc
it only gets slow if u dont restart the device from time to time thats cuz of the slow arm 411 processor
but it is great i love the antiscratch it really dont scratsh !

more than 16GB sure this phone lag..

tools -> settings -> general -> positioning -> positioning method -> integrated gps (enable this)

1- Go to phone settings and then network selection. Make sure it is not on Dual Mode..If yes ..swich to GSM mode. It will definately improve ur battery life.
2- Poor network coverrage areas also drains battery fast because phone always try to search for stronger signals and consumes more battery.

Anonymous, 03 Feb 2010Good test it looks very very natural unlike xenon flash whi... moreIf you have issues with flash then turn it off, not remove it from the phone. There will be times when u need to click pictures in absolute darkness then the led flash wont do anything for you.
