Hi, i reset my nokia n86 yesterday and found out that ngage is missing. when i try to install ngage, almost the end of the installation it shows unknown error 5....please help

this phone is so small
i compare him with n85
n85 has three times bigger buttons
camera is better on n86 but little
n85 has louder speakers
screens are same

I have a nokia n78 and i'm thinking of getting a n86... Do you advise me of keeping my phone or get the n86? Is it gd or shell i get another phone? Plz answer

guys i am using n86 n samsung wave. i have to say that most of the time i rely on n86. it always gets my things done properly. for example : faster internet browser than wave's browser, better email, better camera, more storage. n86 may have a small screen, non-touchscreen, but it is still number 1 for me. I just love it. use apps like nimbuzz, skype.......... N86 still ROCKS

All who complain about the battery indicator should understand that the indicator (to the best of my understanding), indicates the voltage level of the battery and not the amount of ENERGY remaining in the battery. Hence, the first bar does not drop until about 40 to 50% (or even 60%) of the capacity is used up. Also, new or sparingly used batteries will show a slower drop than weak or old ones. One can use Nokia's Energy Profiler for Symbian 60 Version 3 or Nokia's Battery Monitor for 5th or ^3 phones. The Battery Monitor actually measures the energy flowing into and out of the battery (TTBFMK).

Battery is big problem , need carry charger always.
Nokia need to think about 20 hrs talk time, same like PHILIPS phone. ( we need battery life minumum one week with out charging.

n85 has better battery
my battery during 5 days
n85 is better than n86 in some things
n86 is better only in camera perfomance

To make the battery last longer:
-set phone to 2G mode only
-turn off wi-fi scanning
It still doesn't last very long, around 2-3 days usually, but enough for me.

suraj, 26 Dec 2010same here...battery is very big problem it even lasts a da... moreI think all Nokia battery indicators are inaccurate. I'm not using N86, I'm using 6303c (an S40 phone) and it has 4 bars of battery indicator but the first bar doesn't disappear before 60% of battery usage, and after all the bars disappear very fastly.

same here...battery is very big problem
it even lasts a day...
and even the battery indicator is too inaccurate...all 7 bars means full battery, ans if it drops even by 1 bar...get ready, its just ~50 % and afterwards god knows...one more call and low battery indicator will start flickering...and after 5-6 low battery indicators phone will switch off...and the mobile is under warrenty period and can i ask for replacement of mobile because the mobile has been sent to nokia care 4 times and the same battery drain problem persisting

Hi frndz, i ws also a victim of its battery(drain fully in 24 hr widout doin anythng), Otherwise this phone is superb...
Nw im testing its battery.
1st i installed MOBILE GUARD.then found that realy its camera app running in bk ground,then i close that by mobile guard. Nw im using it aftr ful charged frm 23 hrs.(2hr net 3g, 20 min call) stil it shows ful battery.

I have put this phone's battery to a test by using it a whole day continuously(6 hours of music play, 1 hour of FM transmitting, 20-30 photo shoots, 5-6 2min Video recording, 10-15 calls, 2-3 hours of web browsing with Wifi, bluetooth file transfers, 1/2hr N-Gage game play, around 3 hours of application usage like messaging and maps with GPS) and still it had two blocks of battery charge!!! Really Amazing for a smart phone.
FM transmitter range is limited to 2-3 meters.....so you can't impress others at a party with your cool FM transmitter.
Camera is very good but the image has a slight yellow tint.
Connectivity is the best feature of this phone.
The only negative aspect I feel is that the screen gets dirty quickly with fingerprint marks. Requires frequent cleaning.

Any other solution for battery problems? I've tried using a new battery for my phone and still its having the same problem with my old one. My batter only last a day. I tried charging it full and rarely used it. On the second day, I just made 2-3 calls (5mins each) and the low battery warning showed up!
