why!!!! because you can do so much with it
its more like being an artist as I am.
wedding photographers use wide angle lence all the time to get best results....

Hope Nokia has something more in preparation than this N85 update. Because if not, with all the new touch screen phones from Samsung and LG (and even SE), Nokia is DEAD.

No 3g,no wi-fi,no gps,only 256k colors TFT,2mp. .bad camera,can't read office documents,ugly slider phone,no fm radio,hahaha,only 12mb of integrated memory,lower price group and the old phone. .why u not compare it's with se W995. .i think se w500i is nothing if compared wth nokia n86 8mp. . P

He is not discounting the advantages of wide angle lenses in landscapes too if you really understands photography.
Effects of different focal lengths of lenses in photography is quiet complex to understand overnight, so better not discussed here in this forum of celfone users and casual phone camera shooters who don't have even an idea of what exposures, ISO/ASA ratings, var appertures & irises, barrel distortions, pin distortions, field of view, depth of field, focal lengths, short lens, long lens, fast lens, slow lens, standard lens... and the list is long.

Anonymous, 27 May 2009I am an amateur photographer, wide angle lens distorts the ... moresory u dont know about wide angle lens,wide angle lens distort distance not subject.wide angle lens makes subject more detailed and clear.1stly its help u to get ur desired frame.2ndly its avoid other unnecessary object n creats less distance between u n ur desired subject,less distance means more detail more detail means more natural n contrasty pic.this wide angle lens is useful for u cz thn u dont need to worried about getting right shoot.

Unfortunately, casual phone camera snap shooters do portraiture.
