... moresame here...battery is very big problem
it even lasts a day...
and even the battery indicator is too inaccurate...all 7 bars means full battery, ans if it drops even by 1 bar...get ready, its just ~50 % and afterwards god knows...one more call and low battery indicator will start flickering...and after 5-6 low battery indicators phone will switch off...

- Model look alike N86 (not very creative model).
- Very expensive (around $800)

jc, 04 Nov 2010my n86 does not function the mp4 video,how does it work?som... moreWhen u convert any video to mp4 format from pc then first adjust its resolution (to know this go in camera>setting>resolution of ur mobile)
If ur resolution is correct u can play mp4 on ur n86 or any other mobiles.

Hope nokia fix this BATTERY problem. This is a great device and battery seems to limit it's functionality

My N86 8MP camera is Great! But the problem is the shutter is broken or loose? What can I do about it? Am I going to the Nokia Care Center or just repair the flex??? Reply ASAP. . I'm in need of help now.. :(

If your FM transmiter does not work just do a soft reset Got to : Tools->Settings->General and do a Factory settings ;)
(If it dosnt work the first time, do another time.)

i bought the new nokia bl -5k n 86 battery on 11.11.2010.i charged it fully but it last for only one day can any one help me for this the existing battery also last for one day only. when will the next version by nokia.the same was also tried with the all the application in closed condition and reset of phone

I also have n73 n82 but not n86 i want to buy then for 8mp photos but.....n82....what i can say for this device?.....no problems hangs anything....photo samples?similar to n86 some samples better due to wide vario tessar lens .captures more space in little distance,in photo nature is better..so i didnt change it!
Dark night rules.....so until now as you my friend Doc nothaving phone with touch screen....I am going for Nokia N900..My opinion?hold this phone for 2nd device n86 or n82 and go for N900...is the future....N8?no....s^3 is s60 upgrade...S60 stable but boring os..others tradermark are more eyecandy os but with many issues and bugs...check out N900 is superb phone...also HDMI can be replaced from usb mass storage mode! for example! i put house episode HD 1280*720 at n73 phone not recongine for playing is mkv file xaaxxx but i plugged it via usb mass storage data and played without lags or anything just a flash drive...so HDMI?WOW! usb on the go?Supported N900! check videos on net.!! also you can connect usb keyboard and modem via usb on N900...and many more..!! open source os....do you want anything else???aaxaxaxaxax
a willing n900 owner...at 05-12-10 will order this superb phone....

Ive been using N86 for 15 months now and I have to say that Im very satisfied with its overall features, but there are some issues that i dont want to tolerate anymore, and as a hardcore Nokia Nseries fan and because camera is the most important feature on a smartphone for me, I am going to buy Nokia N8 as soon as possible. I have used N73, N95 8GB, N82, N85 and now N86 8MP, so N8 seems like a logic choice for me. Of all those Nseries phones Ive used, only N82 could come close to N86 in photography, but only because of its xenon flash. Now, I have to say that the double LED flash on N86 is definitely the strongest flash Ive ever seen on any cameraphone, sometimes to the point of being too strong! And we all know that one of the main values of xenon flash is that it freezes the picture even when capturing some very fast moving objects, for example, with N82 i used to take pictures of a cooling fan at its highest speed and when captured using xenon, picture looked as if the cooling fan was off! And i like that white light that xenon produces much more than too yellow LED light. But when taking photos outside at the bright daylight without using flash, N86 beats N82 big time! Speaking about the speakers sound quality, again I have to say that N82 had much stronger speakers than N86-sometimes i miss the call because i dont even hear it ringing. So now the only thing is that N8 is going to be my first touchscreen phone and I hope Ill adjust to it quickly. All in all, even after 15 months of using it, N86 is still a great phone in my opinion, but the time have come for a new phone and of all this cool new phones, only N8 attracts me very much, probably because Im a big Nseries fan after all!
