I am pretty much happy with this mobile's looks n feel it is extremely under-rated.
But if u check out the official Nokia website, it is named as N86 8 MP and the photos also been modified to present it's name as N86 8MP unlike in the real life photos where it is N85 8MP.

hmm i dont kno why people makes remarks after releasing of that phone....nokia promise in barcelona challenge of excellent quality picture....and design wise i fink nokia is decsent not over.....i used walkman series,xpress series,beat also, and now n96 and 5800 but i fink nokia is descent over all

Okay, okay, okay. None of you have tried this phone so stop this senseless bickering about the phones lack of features. As far as the N86 Article from gsmarena goes, N86 has "unprecedented" camera features that arent listed on the spec sheet. May I quote;
"Photography-wise, the N86 8MP promises unmatched performance that's closing the gap between cameraphones and point-and-shoots. It's the first and only cameraphone to offer variable aperture values and a 28mm wide angle lens."
Overall, I recommend people to trial the phone before making comments such as above. Lack of Xenon may be annoying but nokia has its reasons for not adding it on. But when it comes to adding features onto a phone, Nokia generally offers better quality (examples; N82's Xenon Flash, 5800's Music Quality, S60 v5 UI)

Absolutely the best phone in 2009. Start to saving for this lovely phone. The design is superior. The body is scratch resistant wow what a phone. 8mp with a new technology. A must buy to know what it is. A 28mm wide angle lens very interested to know. Have a lens protector and a camera shutter. Wonderful. Usb charger at last and a kickstand made it easy to watch wow. 8gb internal memory plus micro sd slot up to 16gb wow what a big. Digital compass FM Transmitter 3.5 av jack and much more so valuable for money it's a must buy. This is unique phone and different from other phone. Cannot wait for this. Come on nokia release it quickly. Thank you nokia for this future phone.

wtf is nokia so damn stubborn? why o why do u keep refusing to combine the beautiful 8mp carl zeiss lens with xenon? why led flash? it's like putting an aston martin on 12 inch piece of crap wheels. it just doens't make sense!! do u think by leading us on with a good camera and putting the crappiest flash possible, pplr. will by ur phones and hope for a better tomm. w/. xenon flash?? Nokia, get ur head out of ur @ss, bring back the xenon flash now!!!!

This phone will sell because of the 8mp camera but ,like you all said ,nokia needs to work more on their desing ,same n81 trash !

The N86 is not completley finished yet, they will tune the camera & programes.
