Hey GSMArena, your specifications on this N86 is lacking. There is a TV Out function on this phone.

      See it here:

No Thanks Nokia for N86. I had N85 with a bad experiance and had to sell it after two weeks. Heavy N86 and size. No Thanks. I am waiting for N97 and I am fine with my 5800 and N82 at a momment.

Dani, 16 Feb 2009OMG! Even SE C905 has better features then this!c905, an unrealistic camera, no vga video recording, screen that looks like a painting, processor that used to made in the 10 century, crappy unproductive os, you find that it is better than n86?

First things first, the details are not proper on the front page of the product on gsm arena. It has a 28mm lens and variable aperture from f2.4 and a 3.5m effective flash. You guys think that Sony is better going off to 12mp? their 8mp was total crap. nokia is approaching the quality of camera and NOT megapixels like sony. Has your sony got f2.4 and 28mm? The xenons used in phones are only 3 m effective and the dual led on n86 is 3.5 m effective. plus all nokia canera record 640 x 480. thats a dream for sony. ido is just a concept and is well... 2010. This is THE PRE PRODUCTION version. The camera is not optimized and the lens is not the final one. the lens on the PRE PRODUCTION model is f2.8 and the final one is a f2.4 28mm. Sony colors on its cams are not even close to real. These colors are already better. If you wanna tell me that f2.8 and f2.4 makes no difference, go find a camera manual. If you wanna say that 3m and 3.5 m makes no difference, find a school math teacher. if you want to tell me that 35.mm and 28mm is no different..hello, have you even used a camera?

N86 8MP is the nicest-looking NSeries ever. Whoever designed this mobile phone is a genius. And whoever votes a zero for the design of this phone doesn't have a good taste. I will definitely buy this phone mainly because of its design, secondary is because of its camera. This phone looks so cool and cute in real life pics. Its internet pic in this page just doesn't make justice. Although my only comment is it's sad it doesn't have a naviwheel. But I can't help praising its design. I'm glad that it now deviates from the boring N81 design. Nokia designers and engineers are genius. I will prefer N86 8MP 100 times over an i8910 or an IDOU.

This phone is the most popular phone according to GSM ! In only a few days after been published here, it received over 62000 views and 1000 votes by the public! ! ! This is even more then the N95 got in the first few days of its GSM appearance. Nokia fans can be pleased with such a popular device. My guess is - it will be a HUGE success when it will become available :-) The camera is apparently the best ever in cellphone !

i suggest GSMARENA change it to white N86 instead of dark blue

its obvious, this is the best "REAL" camera phone to date and not a "CONCEPT" phone like Idou (due 2010) c",

samsung, se, etc fans will hate this phone because its the best their is at the moment.

for those who hate the design of this phone, please read the comments made by techies who tried it in wmc barcelona. they "Glorify" the phones design and robustness.

"This is the best and the most solid phone created by Nokia" quote from intomobile.

i like the white one thou, it will compliment with the my black N82 c",

im saving for this by june, wohoow!!

The most impressive thing on this device is it's ability to take 8 MP photos! Yet they are useless without a decent xenon flash! I will continue to take better pics with my 3 year old 50 euro's worth Sony Ericsson K800! This is just ridiculous! It's not like they haven't used xenon before in camera phones ... with great success I might add (N82, 6220 classic)! Screw this garbage!

I'll vote 10 for the design. The live pics are so beautiful. 9 for features since they omitted the naviwheel. And 9 for performance even if i haven't got a hold of it. :D

"By the way, while the N86 was in the works it was called Nokia N85 8 MP, but then they decided that it’d be much better off with a new index."
