Readers nowadays are not wise enough. Doesn't mean that this phone has no Xenon flash it can't make good pictures in low light conditions. Please read the official spec sheet. Nokia N86 8MP has a brand new Carl Zeiss lens with large variable aperture f2.4/3.2/4.8 for all lighting conditions, plus 28mm wide viewing angle, no other camera phones have it. The new 3rd generation dual led flash is much brighter than previous dual led flash. This is the first camera phone with its camera specs and hardware that can seriously challenge a standalone digicam, no, not the Innov8 nor the C905.
As quoted, "People demand mobile cameras that take excellent pictures in all light conditions," "That's why the aperture of the Nokia N86 8MP is comparable to that of a high-quality, stand-alone digital camera. Whether it's running with the bulls in Pamplona or capturing the panoramic beauty of a sunrise over Sydney, the Nokia N86 8MP will take brilliantly clear, wide-angle images that are instantly geotagged to be uploaded onto sites like Ovi Share or Flickr." Easy enough for a novice to use, the Nokia N86 8MP packs enough punch to impress an experienced photographer. This includes a wide-angle Carl Zeiss Tessar lens for panoramic pictures, shorter latencies and variable aperture for super sharp photos in challenging bright and low light conditions. The fast mechanical shutter ensures pictures with less motion blur while the dual LED camera flash is powerful enough for excellent photography and video capture.
"When it comes to taking the best digital photos, it's the quality of the lens and the sensor that count, not just the quantity of pixels. The Nokia N86 8MP is the first mobile device with variable aperture, adding to the Carl Zeiss Tessar lens for excellent results. It has never been easier to capture special moments in such a great quality,"
i just saying nokia have a 8mp cam with no xenon to me at less for they high end phone at less xenon 2 take pic in low light condition; nokia not inpress a tall no more the spec is good but they design no

There are lots of people here talking about megapixels. You are all dumb!!! Use your brains once plz.. We are talking a mobile phone here not camera.. If you want to be a photographer buy a digital SLR camera.. Did you know that 3.2MP and 5MP cameraphone are enough for everyone when you print your image? 5MP is enough and you can already print a very nice and big photo with it.

If all people want a bigger MP cam, then what do you think would happen if all manufacturer make bigger MP every year? hahaha.. In 2010 they already have 30MP and then every picture would be at least 10GB or more. Plz use your brains...

I have N82, 5800, omnia and I am happy with it.. N86 truly is magnificent phone.. so don't judge it by comparing its camera to others coz it's better than SE's Idou and any other camera phone... Just go for the functionality and features it has. Why are people so blind. It has one of the best design of all nokia phone.

N86 8MP is 2x better than N95 8GB, N95 8gb is very ugly and lower than this N86, and the plus is that N86 has 8MP camera, and 8GB internal memory + 16 GB memory stick, so I think that better buy N86 8MP than that oldest N95 8GB !

Honestly speaking but nokia is gettin weaker day by day.. the best phones of nokia are only N96,N95 8GB,N81 8GB,N97 and 5800... rest of them r just TOYS....
Our suggestion for NOKIA is too make better phones with cheap price and higier function...
                              Thank you,

I am really deceived with Nokia. It does not take into consideration the suggestion of users like SE & Samsung does! They released an "8MP Cameraphone" that lacks a Xenon flash which is a basic thing in any cheap camera. The reason is the same as in Nokia N97.They are going to use the flash as video light. If they really wanted to to that ,they could have put the LEDs along with a Xenon flash like Sony Ericsson did in K850i & C905i!Now we wont be able to get neither a good photo nor video in the dark.It will still have the blueish tint that we get when using LEDs in the dark. The photos in the dark are going to su#* even if the phone has a 3rd generation dual LED flash.Dual LEDs can't be compared to a Xenon which is way brighter than LEDs.

They could also have increased the resolution of the OLED screen from a standard QVGA(320x240) which is already outdated to atleast one like in the new Nokia 6260s which has a HVGA(320x480).At 2.6in”,it does make a difference when seen with the naked eyes. The 6260s screen has doubled the number of pixels N86 8MP has!The images looks finer on that display.

Nokia is no more what it was 3 years ago, when it released the Nokia N95.They can no more impress us.They just make the same phones with minors changes in functions & change in its design.Nokia then sells it at almost double the price! They rely on their diminishing brand name for charging high price!

At this rate,it wont be long before seeing Nokia losing its first place to Samsung,HTC & Sony Ericsson who innovates all the time with novelties.Nokia is lagging behind in all departments.Be it camera,design,innovation,hardware,etc...If Nokia doesn't do anything right now, they are going to lose lots of Nokia hardcore fans and I am one among them....
