Got a used version online for 160quid unlocked,came with just charger but have all tv cables off other nokias..v high quality ane excellent foto results..i plug in head fones open up stand & leave by my bedside witi radio playing or a podcast,superb phone i think .

Riamo, 02 Sep 2010Dude i had both cells and N86 speakers are much clearer th... moreIve had both the n85 and n86 and they are the same transducers according to nokia but the solidity of the n86 makes the tonal quality better..THey are the same fones but nokia upped everything for n86 with better high quality optics and 8MP..They also installed the higher speed proccessor which is why the battery is a bit worse than n85..They introduced a specially coated screen and lots of metal hence the extra weight..
Nokia at the time did not want to bring out an 8MP unit they wanted to concentrate at 5MP..It was like s/e k750i/w900i k800i all around that 2-3Mp mark which was a better suited sensor for that amount of MP..Most prints were 6x4 inches in film days and even a 2MP good sensor would suffice but upping the MP would need more light and bigger sensors..Still the MP wars carried on and Nokia had no choice but to satisfy the customer..Thing is Nokia were not going to bring out a 8MP just for the sake of it and made it a top spec smartfone with top optics which all others did not have..
As for N8 it will have the biggest sensor ever put in a camfone,BUT,its touchscreen so not interested yet and NOKIA N86 still rules the button smartfone market..I reckon head to head in dark areas the N86 would punch well above its weight with these 12MP canfones..

I am txting this from my n86 at a campsite on weekend break,using 2 batterys just in case .taken 10 pics ,3x 4min vids 10txts,3mms and some tweeting.End of day 1 and on 7bars.2g mode & 50% briteness.

n85 king, 02 Sep 2010speakers are sameDude i had both cells and N86 speakers are much clearer than N85. i know their loudness is the same but not clarity !
