I generally like the outlook of this phone and I bought it because I liked phones with keypads. However, just one week into getting this phone, I turned on the GPS and then there will be a menu that pops out n keeps blinking whenever I switched to another application and get back to the GPS application. Since I had to head back overseas to study, I didn't send it for repair. Just into 2 months of using it, one day I discovered that the On/Off button wasn't working and the phone wouldn't Lock the Keypad as it would normally. Just in less than 12 hours time, the phone just turned off on its own and because the button was no longer working, I couldn't use it at all. Thinking that being a global company, Nokia would provide international care for its customers, I was appalled by the fact that the Customer Service assistant did not show initiative in providing the service at all. They did not have the slightest intention at all. Thus, I had to courier it back home and asked my dad to send it to the Customer Service Centre back home. After going through huge amount of hassles, and it was finally sent to repair, I only used it for 9 days and it was the SAME PROBLEM THAT OCCURRED months ago. They installed a new Map that did not allow me to zoom in to the level where I could've zoomed in previously. I admit that it was y fault for having it accidentally had water poured over it but please Nokia, I was your loyal customer and because of this I have already lose all my confidence as I might pay hundreds of dollars and get another defected phone.

Can some one Please Suggest me that N86 is best or Nokia X6 because both are in same price in the market so which one should I go for ?

i have also snapped many photos but its not so great as i used to have from n79 though its have 8 mp camera and photos are in not great size only upto 1 mb. I still have version 11.o this may be the reason but through computer (software updater) i am not able to get firmware update i have tried almost 50 times and every time it say you have latest firmware but when i tried through fota it shows that new firmware upgrade is available but everytime speed is very very slow even with wlan feature and connection terminates itself

t.mall, 14 Aug 2010i have bought the n86 8mp camera is "ok" i dont f... moreHope u didnt see the video on youtube nokia N82 vs N86 thats y u r saying like that..i hv snapped abt 1500 photos wid my N86 n wudnt believe they r amazing n ultra sharp even on 17"monitor some of them r of 3MB, Bt 1 of them is 4MB n amazingly clear..ya i accept that in night photo r good bt nt upto excellent : (

i have bought the n86 8mp camera is "ok" i dont find anything grand about it also i thought it will "WOW" me up.. the awesome camera was the nokia n82 which i am still keeping because of the awesomety of the camera it self only althoug its only 5mp camera i think its still better than n86 8mp camera
and the sw is giving to much crap phone keeps on switching on/off..

No frndz my slider is not yet wobly..its jst fine.its wide angle lens realy gv me better n bigger images than others..the images r gr8 even on 17" monitor..battery backup can b enhanced by off the theme effect..i use SENHHEISER headphones on my n86 8mp white lucking brandnew even i hv been using it since 16nov 09 n 2 times fell down on ground

i bought this mobil last week, the slide get shaki... moreyes the slide is a wobbly thing..and most of the nokia care centres regret this flaw and convince us that it was normal..
i've also got a problem like this and gave it to ncc still i'm waiting for the handset to be in my hands..
u must have to pretend to be quarreld wit the nokia guys :) or else they'l consider this as a common problem..

open camera cover>goto option(left soft key) when camera starts>costumize toolbar>add short cut>brightness>ok.
