This Fix for N85, but i believe N85 base slider have the same as N86 base slider.
Warning:
Opening up your phone may void your warranty, so please bare this in mind if you're intending to do this.

Yes, it will charge via the USB port using the supplied data cable from the box.

Sorry guys my n86 dnt hv slider issue its still d same as on 1st day.even i droped it two times bt still there is not a single scrach

I've been using this mobile since a month..and the progress wit it is very poor..i'm really unsatisfied wit it..my cousin has recenty bought an n79 and its really better in many aspects..especially the navi wheel just like in ipods..you can browse through the music very fast..
Coming to the negatives of n86,
*my mobile has poor build quality and my friend has bought the same mobile a month ago and its the same wit him..
*slider wobbles alot and people who want a clear idea about wobble of slider go through youtube some one uploaded a video how it was..
*pls guys buy a 97mini or something just avoid this mobile..
*if you desperately resist the wobble thing, then the mobile is a wonder..its really amazing..
*only negative is the slider

got this phone recently and love it. hate n95 8gb - lots of features but slow phone
n86 is fast with less then 2 seconds between photos
kickstand is a killer, i thought i'd never use it
so far no scratches, i think screen protector messes up the look of glass
all ovi stores updates are no worse than iphone and all apps integrated very well
improved intuitiviness and control of the phone overall make for a whole new experience then sluggish n95
will probably keep for 2 years as it seems that it doesnt scratch front or back

[deleted post]I hv bn using n86 since 16th Nov2009 n 1of my fast frnd bought X6 abt 1mnth bk.i hv used both n found n86's n X6's sound loudness on inbuilt speakers r lil bit low bt if u use Sennhiezer(not others,i hv used Sony too) head phones realy they wil gv u d iPod quality output.

Pardon me if I'm wrong...usually you don't find old guys interested in gadgets. Are you preparing for PG? This phone is quite helpful for taking quick and good quality snaps...saves time and money for taking photostats. Like to hear more from you...

Since my upgrade in middle May '10, my phone went back 3 times to date!!! Main reason is that it came supplied with firmware and maps that are not compatible with life-long GPS support. Web-site downloads are not possible since the handset's product code does not allow for downloads/upgrades until it was sent to NOKIA service centre. How they managed despite the product code, I do not know. NOKIA blames the service provider and vice-versa and I, the customer, is slap-bang in the middle.
Now, even after their firmware upgrade, the latest maps were STILL unavailable and GPS connection was only possible by connection to the internet (at huge expense)and not by inegrated GPS, also with no stereo radio and VERY difficult RDS reception if at all!!!! An INTERNAL ERROR (I suppose the hanset)and talking to at least 7 advisors at NOKIA Care Centre, I was advised by the last person to send it back AGAIN. 3 times in 2 months when every time I loose about 2-3 weeks return time!
Worst handset I have had by far in my 15 years of cell phone experience.
