Hi ppl...sory ppl 4 late cumming on this post..bcz i hv joined a medical college as resident doctor 10 days bk. By d way i hv tried a new thing dat i added brtness on tool bar of camera n wen i wish to capture image i jst increase d brtness .5 to 1.0 n aftr dat images r realy impressive even in dark..try it.by d way d specs of n8 realy mind blowing bt i realy lv my n86 white..may b i spend some part of my salary to buy n8 in next mnth...

Anonymous, 01 May 2010the only problem i have is my lens bing scracth from the le... morethe lense is scatch resistant glass, and they are only rub marks on the sides wich dont affect the quility of the photos so dont worry......

miko, 02 May 2010my fone stay in offline mode i already change my sim card! ... morehi. Pls slot (insert) your sim card correctly and change your profile in general mode.
Menu-settings-profile-general.
Or phone swich off button-and press the general mode.

Hi.I tried updating my N86 from v21.006 to v30.009 via the Nokia Software Updater on PC Suite. The updates downloaded normally but when updating the phone, the phone restarted and stood stuck at the NOKIA screen in full brightness. An error popped on the PC which said the connection with the phone was lost and asked to remove battery and usb cable and reinsert and then retry/cancel the update. I followed that but my phone is not switching on. It only gives the vibration on trying to switch on. I tried everything including the hard reset(no response) but nothing so far worked. What should I do? Is my phone gone forever? I really loved my phone.. hardly 2 months old.

the nokia n86 has a bright led light for recording you just have to turn it on and the person the person that they phone is in off line still have you tryed changing back the profile to normal

I have the same annoying proble... moreheheheee u r kidding for sure no virus can make hardware problem and no virus is found on official updates that guy is fooling u ... no viruses are found on symbians viruses are mith ! man u r fooled wake up .. may be its a chineese version u have ... chineese version chineese man made in china ia awfull it makes bloody awefull industry chine plz stay away with ur awefull industries !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ansgp, 01 May 2010theres no led light for video. only xenon for photos.
howe... moreif it does not have LED light for video then its useless....it cant record videos in dark?
compared to n86..dual led(3rd gen), 8 mpx, variable aperture.
i think n86 is a tough competition 2 n8.......?

kamal, 01 May 2010I have a n86 but its capture button has to be pressed too h... moreyes dude.. there is nothing 2 worry on it..just use both ur hands to reduce shakes..

So dont worry, it will loosen a little bit(not much) with time. Rest to avoid blurriness use timer.

My N95 is about to retire, it has served to some
extent, though, still working except for the casing
that needs replacement,i replace the battery February and i almost loose it to
robbers yesternight on my way home from work when my
car suddenly stopped on the road and i was mugged.
My problem is a lot of people complain about this
phone (N86 8mp) and i kind of like it especially the
white one, can anybody advice whether i should buy it
or go for another nokia model....

the only problem i have is my lens bing scracth from the lens cover when opening or shuting can some one help me with that
