Sivajith, 18 Apr 2010Hi all i want to buy this phone, but heared it was stoped d... moreN86 is far far better than N85. Better camera 8mp with 3rd gen led flash, better cpu 434mhz, better build quality with scratch resistand screen, hardened glass screen. N85's build quality is not good, crack develops near the d-pad. Whereas after long time use, i've no major scratch in my N86, only tiny scratch at back side as I once dropped it. And not a single scratch on screen. Good sound quality, better than n85. And the usual Nseries features. . .overall good phone for its price.

Anonymous, 18 Apr 2010hi i have cracked my screen, does anybody know where i can ... morei hope you are referring to the tempered glass at front.
Alone that glass wouldnt be replaced, whole of front structure (including metal detailing, glass, its support etc shall be replaced), since glass is stuck to the base. Here in India it costs about Rs 2300 at nokia care.

sea-breeze, 18 Apr 2010v30: camera locks faster close up mode is now really cl... morei think compression is increased.
I am having 3 snaps of same place, taken at same time, with same settings (along with flash on), taken with firmware versions 10.086, 21.006 and 30.009. Those three snaps are having sizes 659KB,865KB,740KB respectively. That indicated that compression is again increased a little bit.

Sivajith, 18 Apr 2010Hi all i want to buy this phone, but heared it was stoped d... moresince u prefer nokia, this is the best choice for you. N86 is great. At present N86 is the best non-touchscreen nokia phone. Or you can wait for the upcoming N87 with 12MP Camera with xenon flash.

              v30:

              camera locks faster
close up mode is now really clooooooose !
              less compressing in images
              flash is stronger
fone is more stable and faster
cannt find any bugs till now ... still searching

              n86 8mp overall

superb build quality 8 month of heavy use no single scratch
looks brand new as if just bought
camera is very veryyy good if only it got a xenon it would stop digital cam industry forever !
              nice battery backup
great slider not chakky at all

              disadvantges

it needs faster processor and more ram .. the fone could be faster the camera still needs more processing

n86 in compare to all other fones :

no 8mp fone can outperform that fone
n82 is still its only competetor in only flash far fotos

i am in love with the scratch resistant body ! i treat it so hard and rough use manyyyyyyy falls but its brand new !

              great nokia ...
