x-terminal is a good friend, i recommend everyone to get to know it, and learn some basic Linux commands, and how Debian in general is organized. For example FSTAB is in /etc, and so on...

You can buy an additional microSD card then =)
If you want to keep your microSD card in the phone but dont want the pics/vids from it to show up in the gallery and media player, run this command:
sudo umount /media/mmc1
and to get the files to show up again:
sudo mount /dev/mmcblk1 /media/mmc1
Or use the x-terminal, move the secret mistresses pics/vids to a folder in the root partition, it will not be so easy for a non-linux user to access it there. Problem with the root partition is the limited storage space available, and since its in another partition the mv command will take long time if ders big files.

Not comparable with iphone or even other android phones like Nexus One Droid/Mildstone

Hi guys, have a n900 think it's quite a nice phone considering the size. Just wanted to know what phone is better overall between the Nokia N900 AND THE HTC DESIRE?? That's based on:
Camera, video, audio quality/volume, battery life and apps?

Is dat payment of 12,500 php for an operator lock n900 is a one time payment or a monthly amortization 4 12 months? If it is a one time payment then it is still cheap. If that is a monthly amortization or payment of 12,500 php for 12 mos. for the n900 and the load then is very expensive. Thats the way I see it when someone enter a 12 mos. or 24 mos. contract with an operator like smart or globe here in d phils. By d way if it is a one time payment of 12,500 php for n900 then it is very tempting. The problem is the phone is not here in the phils. and i doubt it very much that they will sell it here with that kind of price also. Thks 4 d info. Now I get ur point.

@all i checked through some of the features and shows that it doenst support java...is that true? most likely i would want to install some cool java apps like opera mini and lots more but it seems its not gonna take..is it because of the Maemo OS??

from the features i found out that it doesnt support java, for those that have it, u mean i cant install java apps like opera mini and some cool java stuffs...am thinking of buying the nokia n900...but am beginning to contemplate..

Tested on two other Nokia with both BT and Wifi, theres no problems, BT stays connected while activating Wifi and start surfing. So the guy who said taht its by desing on all Nokia was very wrong.. Tested on an old BT+Wifi Nokia also, N95-2, no problems! By the way, its a Nokia BH-602 headset.
So, i am 99% sure now that the Wifi signals transmitted make your headset confused, and then it disconnects..
