If you guys/gals want the phone with portrait ability wait until the maemo community works around it, which I doubt will take any longer than a day or week. Also, remember that Moto will be releasing the Sholes before the end of the year. So far the phone is supposed to have a 3.7" 854x480 screen (capacitive with multi-touch I believe) with android 2.0 (eclair), and TI OMAP3430.

I think there will be a lot of disappointed persons who buy this and find it operates totally different to what they have in their head..They look at specs and think wow i am getting that and expecting a mobile fone but its not,,its more a web device really and fone last and that why just like your laptop its landscape orientated,,have not seen anyone turning their laptop 90 degrees to use it ??

Anonymous, 13 Sep 2009I think the entire UI should be able to fluidly change from... moreIts a tablet with gsm fone so if you want portrait apps buy another fone..There is no d-pad its pure landscape driven..It is not like a mobile fone its a connected tablet formfactor..People are so used to the smartfone they think this is one and its going to operate like n95 or e71 and its nothing like them and no need for anything to operate in portrait..

N95 is Very Good Symbian S60v3 Smartphone because use 3D Hardware Accelerator but Nokia Suck only Release few Symbian S60v3 Smartphone so developer not interest to make games with full support 3D Hardware Accelerator many Symbian user mad with Nokia because this. i hate Nokia in this point.
About S60v5 i think that OS born too replace Symbian UIQ [killed by Sony Ericsson]

This will stupidly have a faulty camera slider like the stupid n97 that scratches the stupid camera!! Nokia has a stupid and failure design!!

Oh... as for the apps: there are already 1.000.000+ games availible for Maemo 5, namely all Flash-games on the web :)
Good thing that the N900 is the only phone that has a full Flash-browser from Mozilla.

Maemo - nokia touch os! If capacitive , multitouch won't be a big problem!
Symbian - nokia nontouch os, maybe it can be nokia popular touch os if symbian ^4 do well in near future with multitouch and gesture!
