I live in Canada. Hello everyone. My firmware is also November of last year. My N92 does vibrate when someone is calling me or text messaging me. I can set the phone on silent if I want vibrate or on general if I want to hear it ring.

I think I'm done seeking out the N92. I just want a cool looking phone to replace my 6170 and there's no way in hell this phone is worth $900+ USD. Even if the DVH-B was usable, I still wouldn't shell out that kind of cash. Ah well, looks like I'll keep using my 6170 until something else comes out. Nokia doesn't have anything too impressive coming down the pipeline that's 6170ish.

I received an email reply from Nokia which stated that there are different firmware versions being put in the N92 depending on the region. They added that they will eventually make the newer firmwares available for download. They said the long delays of this phone coming to market caused a lot of firmware versions.
I personally think that Nokia needs to get their business practices in order or they will lose many customers. Their long delays to release announced products and their firmware problems can only make people angry.

I purchased a new N92 in Las Vegas last Friday. My phone has the vibration call when I switch the phone to the silent profile. I don't know how to check for the exact firmware version. If someone tells me exactly how to do it, I will. I assume I have the latest firmware since my phone was brand new, sealed in the box. The salesperson told me they just had it delivered a few days before I bought it.

OK people just forget the Tv option because it will be useless to anyone right now unless you watch through Gprs(any phone with internet can do that)In europe nearly every country are still doing test on their DVB H technology but most shocking is that to function properly you need to get 25 frames per second but up to now they have only 15.So tv quality will be very bad.Another problem The N92 will not resolve is if you decide to watch tv on the move then expect you phone to go down in less than 2 hours.now about yourpockets:Are you ready to pay up to 50 euros extra per month for around 15 channels.Latest poll puts 85 % people saying Mobile Tv is useless feature for them.So recap you are paying near 600 Euros for things you do not need in a phone. If i was nokia i would put some X ray vision in that thing may be that would attract more people.

Nokia thinks it early agian but Not.The DVb Receiver is useless since you need to connect it with some antenna for it to work .so where is the mobility people. If you want mobile tv then only Internet can give you this with mobility of course then you can get any phone or communicator for that matter.Of course you can wait for the operator to start providing it but only few countries have the tv option available yet and those who have it comes to approximately 50 to 100 $ of extra charges per month for tv useage(if you watch around 3 hours per day).So Can you consider this phone as a serious contender for pioneering or does nokia waht to help you spend money on useless and very expensive features

This phone is S**t believe me.It has all the problems of all N series combined andSymbian is pathethic and the cam is 2 mpx.I thought if you are paying 1 G for a phone you could have at least 5 mpx. It's big and bulky and easily scratchable. It is overpriced just because it has a tv which If you like only nokia wait for the N77 that is if you want the tv option because it will be announced soon otherwise i suggst you take a look at this http://www.gsmarena.com/gigabyte_g_smart_i_(128)-1758.php.This beats any nokia hands down and for the years to come.Goes to show you that nokia is really interested in selling one feature at a time for exorbitant prices with crappy OS.Phone does not work well with 2mb card too.Save your money stay away from this phone

It is absolutely not patronizing at all. Kasenfree has openly stated that he is from Spain and that his English is poor. It is safe to assume that someone not from the USA who does not speak English might not know that we call defective items a lemon. (And if the term "lemon" is known by non-English speaking people, I apologize if I offended them. But I promise it was not my intention to offend anyone.) Why do you assume the worst in everyone? I am just trying to be helpful and informative and thorough. You are way too sensitive. And calling people a "dickwad" is unnecessary and not helpful. This is supposed to be a free-speech forum, yes, but using bad words like "dickwad" is unnecessary. You can get your point across without using words like "dickwad." Kasenfree has not posted that my comments have insulted him.
My N92 Firmware is showing up as dated Nov. 8, 2006. Under possible phone profiles, I have listed: General, Silent, Meeting, Music, and Outdoor. When I select Silent, my phone will vibrate if a call is coming in.
Thank you, Kasenfree, for the link to your Websites. Your postings have been helpful. (Best wishes, "Texas Boy")

Hey texas kid. Isn't this comment a bit patronizing? ==> "It is a lemon. That means it is defective". Im pretty sure Kasenfree knows what 'A lemon' is too
