Nokia starts shipping N93 and N73

Today Nokia announced that they officially start shipping of the Nokia N93 and the Nokia N73 models. Both phones feature a 3.2 megapixel (2048 x 1536 pixels) camera with autofocus, Carl-Zeiss lens and mechanical shutter. What is more, each of them has a large 2.4" 262K-color TFT display with a QVGA (320x240 pixels) resolution, miniSD card slot MP3 / ACC media players, and FM radio. The smartness of the devices is backed up by the latest Symbian 9.1 OS with the S60 user interface.

The Nokia N93 promises to be the ultimate multimedia handset on the market - with a 3x optical zoom and video recording at VGA (640x480 pixels) resolution. At a frame rate of 30 frames per second, stereo audio recording and digital image stabilization, its video recording capabilities allow unparallel DVD-like quality of the videos taken - truly a camcorder. The mobile would sport 50MB internal memory, and a miniSD memory card slot. Connectivity features include WLAN, UPnP, TV-out, UMTS, EDGE, GPRS and tri-band GSM-support.

The Nokia N73 will be available in two variants - one with UMTS support and another with quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity options. It would feature two stereo speakers positioned at the top and bottom of the body. The N73 start price is around 400 euro without tax and is available in three color combinations: silver/dark blue, white/metallic red and white/brown.

Featuring MPEG-4 VGA video capture at up to 30 frames per second, stereo audio recording and digital stabilization enabling smooth and shake-free movies, the Nokia N93 shoots DVD-like quality videos. It also boasts a 3.2 megapixel (2048 x 1536 pixels) camera with a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, 3x optical zoom and up to 20x digital zoom, as well as autofocus and close-up mode for amazing clarity and accuracy.

The Nokia N93 features large internal memory of up to 50 MB, which can be further expanded with a hot swap miniSD card of up to 2 GB, allowing users to capture up to 90 minutes of DVD-like quality video or up to 2500 high-quality photos.

The Nokia N93 offers multiple options for sharing your videos. Share your uncompressed photos and video clips instantly via email, Bluetooth technology or by uploading them directly from the gallery of your device to compatible blogs. Or round up your friends and debut your mobile movies on a compatible TV screen, using either the included TV-out cable or wirelessly over integrated WLAN and UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) technology. For instant playback, set the device on a surface, flip the display horizontally and use the up to 262,144 color 2.4" QVGA display (240 x 320 pixels) in landscape mode to watch your movie magic.
