Anonymous, 18 Feb 2023I think you meant to say deal makerNo point in running up-to-date os on such limited hardware not enough ram is the main reason
Updates Will destroy this tablet
The os just too heavy already
And you can't even rollback OS updates either
I actually originally wanted too buy this tablet
But android os is a ram hog
Then there's android 14 that lock down the os and back app compatibility
So many reasons just not buy this tablet
Basically it's overpriced crap as Nokia didn't give it enough ram too function properly or support future android versions
If you look at older comments I was rooting for this Nokia tablet but bad experience with Nokia products and updates has made me think twice about sluggish devices with unsuitable hardware and os pairing leading too ugly results

Atlanticboy, 30 Dec 2022Hi,
I'm thinking of buying this Nokia T10 to replace... moreI suggest getting a battery charge for the Lenovo tab 4
Ideally
Android 7 still good today and is well optimized
I had look at the on paper specs of your tablet good software hardware pairing by Lenovo
The Nokia t10 tablet probably sluggish even so on paper it's specs are a little better than the Lenovo tab android 12 and up to 14 are going slow this tablet even more
Unisoc processor also really bad on in power efficiency
Another problem
I personally was going buy the Nokia t10 tablet myself when it was on sale for £99
but give it a pass as it won't perform well enough it's got underlocked unisoc processor and Only 3gb ram but android 12 system requirements 6gb ram official from Google
If buying a new tablet
I suggest looking probably at a modern Lenovo tab and check system requirements for android version it runs and will update too
Originally I would strongly recommend Nokia t10 because of stock android and updates
but as ever new Nokia product is full of blootware and slowed down by updates
I see no reason buy Nokia or selling point

Hi,
I'm thinking of buying this Nokia T10 to replace my Lenovo Tab4 8 plus. I looked at the comparison between the two and there doesn't seem to be much different apart from the T10 has a bit better battery and has Android 12 (Tab4 is on 8.1.0). I really like my Tab4, it does everything I want and is well built (I've owned it since July 2017), sadly the battery is starting to fail so I now have the dilemma of do I replace the battery or buy another 8" tablet. So my question is; is having a more up-to-date operating system the deal breaker?

I am considering this tablet I want a small tablet for browsing and watching YouTube and watching some TV on the provider's app so I think this tablet is sufficient enough for me. I don't want to spend much money on the tablet my phone is a Nokia X30 so with a Nokia tablet is aperfect combo

Minu, 08 Dec 2022Can't guarantee about TCL (Alcatel) phones but they do... moreIf I had of gotten the Nokia 3.1 3gb ram / 32gb rom
It would of been fine for the foreseeable future
It's only because the Nokia 3.1 2gb ram /16gb rom so low on storage I have problems plus it is sluggish and struggling a lot with gaming
I didn't think I get into mobile gaming at the Time I brought Nokia 3.1 and Nokia c01 plus as much as I have
But the browser closes it's self on Nokia c01 plus that means u can't even imagine how bad it is
Even trying too surf the web u get kicked back too the home screen same with listening too music
So even for basic usage please avoid 1gb ram phones
Please no more production of 1gb ram phones in 2023
Unfortunately it has taken me a long time too learn my lesson 1gb ram = very bad
Even for me Nokia c01 plus this smartphone is real bad
I think the Nokia 3.1 3gb-ram/32-rom version should of been good but it is not possible for me too buy the smartphone I want the most

Minu, 08 Dec 2022Can't guarantee about TCL (Alcatel) phones but they do... moreWe have a lot in common
We keep are Smartphones for as long as possible as well
I would expect a smartphone too at least least 5 years at the lowest possible price point
We are stuck with whatever we buy for year's and have too live with are choices
Just a lot want very wrong for us with are choices of smartphones turning out too be bad phones
Just for me the Smartphone I brought is unusable Nokia c01 plus so I switched back too Nokia 3.1 but I don't have enough storage space
Nokia g10 the same case problem it is very sluggish
Are one was a refurbished phone sold as open box with a lot of problems is very sluggish
Had too be replaced
TCL & Alcatel do look promising for me
There smartphones do have removable battery's
TCL A3 Alcatel 1b 2020 or Alcatel 2022 all look good too me
If they won't perform well in the long term that will be a deal breaker for me
Replacement ports and the reliability of a smartphone are the important too me
We have only got experience with Alcatel cheapest budget smartphone that only cost £30 in 2015 the Alcatel pixi 3 or Alcatel pixi 4 can't remember the model so well
This smartphone has suffered water damage and the battery swelling up and battery leaking broken changing port broken as well was told it is dead
I just removed the broken battery and put the broken battery back in and left it on change for hours and it come back too life
There cheap and cheerful phones simply just don't die
How it is possible it is working in this state XD
If Alcatel is good I would be happy too buy from them
The hotwav cyber 9 pro is very good like the umidigi a9 pro has 8gb ram can be found on sale around £135
It can be found cheap in the UK with online shopping
It's got great battery and performance
We thought it was too good too be true but it is real and the Smartphone very good at multi tasking runs smoothly and it is able too run games
The 8gb ram make's a would of difference in performance ideally we have 12gb ram or even more if we could
Brand's like umidigi and hotwav really do make some real budget beasts a lot of Chinese brands make high spec low price Smartphones
If this was 1 or 2 years ago yeah we would of chosen it
If we could of find old stock at reasonable price
Yeah the Nokia 8 could be found or possibly even a Nokia 9 the problem is they are refurbished and expensive
The low ram was the other problem don't want too risk another low ram amount smartphone
My mum won't buy a Nokia smartphone she hates the Nokia brand there's that too
Same case with the rest of my family they hate the Nokia brand and Alcatel for some reason or another
I think it's because Nokia & Alcatel smartphones are all low end and they only care about performance and battery life
Battery life Nokia is very good but hardware specs performance or running smoothly just isn't Nokia battle best ground in the mid range market
Nokia all of the updates do them no favours either
There also not completely blootware free either
I could Nokia possibly complete with a brand like umidigi that can Whoop brands like Xiaomi in value for money on hardware and specs and is even stock Android on top
Or complete with hotwav that are also blootware free
And have huge battery size
We are amazed by there's smartphone but this does also make Nokia look even worse in comparison

Sin, 07 Dec 2022I regret not getting my mum the Nokia 5.1 that runs Android... moreCan't guarantee about TCL (Alcatel) phones but they do look promising. But they wouldn't perform well in the long term and replacement parts are much harder to find compared to Nokia phones.
I think the reason why people in our country see the people in the UK as rich is mainly because we use our phones for as long as we can and not change our phones whenever possible.
Why couldn't you buy your mum the Nokia 8? I believe it's very cheaper now compared to launch.
Also how are hotwav phones? They aren't sold in most regions.

As it would of just been the better version of my Nokia 3.1 smartphone but then again only the base version ever available
But even that probably won't of had good enough hardware for basic usage without sluggishness sooner or later
If I had of know how ram hungry Android 12 update was going too be we would have never brought the Nokia g10
I think am also due for a smartphone upgrade also now
As my Nokia 3.1 storage is too low for me 2gb storage
no room for most of my apps just too little too work with
We really have grown a dislike for all of the Android version updates they just hog system resources on budget smartphones too much
Just very high frustration as all I wanted is the Nokia 3.1 3gb ram/32gb rom version
But sold out no where for me too buy it
And have too suffer with the base version I didn't want
Am wondering if Alcatel phones are good as they also at least affordable like Nokia phones
But they look promising due too running Android 11 instead of 12

Minu, 07 Dec 2022The 2.4 is essentially the same as the G10, with the same t... moreYes I have tried all of these kinds of lite apps and setting
It doesn't make a noticeable difference
The optimization made no meanfull difference in performance between this or standard
Turning off back tasks and stuff if anything made more problems if anything
Using lite version of app candy crush don't have a lite version as far as I know
Just so sluggish or still too sluggish
I stand by my point should just have difference models
And make affable smartphones with more ram it's a very cheap part in manufacturing
People in the UK are poor and and gas prices and food cost of living very high
Don't be fooled a lot of people life below the minimum wage or benefits system problems in the uk
My mum is very impatient and just wants a smartphone too work we ended up getting a replacement for the crappy Nokia g10 I feel sorry for anyone who has too suffer with it and just how sluggish it really is
It's been replaced by the hotwav cyber 9 pro we find on mega sale

Sin, 07 Dec 2022Is there experience with the Nokia 2.4 any good on Android ... moreThe 2.4 is essentially the same as the G10, with the same type of storage but has 2GB RAM and a slightly less battery.
My colleagues with the 2.4 keep them fast by disabling apps in the background, disabling all animations (because stock Android animations are unbearably slow for certain people) and keeping 4 or less backgrounds processes at most.
Also use lite versions of social media and game apps. Full versions of social media apps take the biggest hit in performance.
Try taking the steps above and please give an update on them👍
Thanks for mentioning about the UK's terrible pricing btw. We can get a higher configuration for a little bit more instead of a huge premium.
Also, the base versions make perfect sense in our markets because in countries like ours, there's a huge poor population compared to the rich. But agree that base models shouldn't be made available in countries like the UK.

A lot of people only have the Smartphones they have because they afford or find anything better
Maybe that smartphone got faster storage so it runs better ?
I often forget about storage speed it plays such a big role in performance

Minu, 07 Dec 2022If you can buy a Nokia with at least 4GB of RAM, go for it,... moreA lot of brands are doing a lot of stuff lately that hurts the consumers
I don't think different ram & storage versions of every smartphone should exist of the same model of smartphone
As they all look the same and the good versions end up sold out or limited to some regions
My other problem is Smartphone brands are making smartphones & tablets that don't even meet the 6gb ram minimum system requirements for Android 12
The budget market really unhealthy with this problem of Android 12 there's a British saying time is money
There was a study that find
The average person will find it very frustrating if a smartphone takes any longer than 3-secs too do anything like open a web page needs be under 3 sec too do such a basic task or be able handle switching 7 browser tabs going right back too where you left off
The Nokia g10 is too sluggish for my mum too use even for base usage and it freezing up so badly it has too be powered on & off just too make it work again and sometimes random phones the police has this bug also

Minu, 07 Dec 2022If you can buy a Nokia with at least 4GB of RAM, go for it,... moreI tried too buy the maximum spec versions of Nokia smartphones base versions shouldn't exist
The problem is Nokia always take my money then the Smartphone gets lost and they try too sell us base version for full spec version price so I have too get a refund
The refund takes a week too get the refund by then the good version Nokia 3.1 sold out every where
So it base version was only Nokia smartphone that are not sold out so base version or Nokia 3.1 no phone
With Nokia c01 plus base version or pay 3x the price and import taxes on top so base version I picked
In the UK you can't buy anything but base version of Nokia t10 tablet
Nokia shouldn't be making crappy base versions in the first place
A device should not come any faults that need updates too fit it should work out of the box day 1
I don't like beta testing software this is the worsened
Am guessing this is a avoid as only base version is available
I just need a smartphone
I don't have a lot of money

Sin, 06 Dec 2022The problem is with android 12 and beyond
android 12 is th... moreIf you can buy a Nokia with at least 4GB of RAM, go for it, because you've purchased the lowest configurations of all models.
As long as you're patient, the software fixes would give unexpectedly good results. For example, my Nokia 8 had software issues in the beginning but all (if not, most) got fixed since the last software update.
Please make sure that you make Nokia aware about your issues and report to them via e-mail. Commenting on GSMArena would be useless since they may not read the comments, which is the problem with every single brand.
Never judge stock Android smartphones based on their base configuration. The models you have bought have the least RAM and storage, so no wonder you'll be disappointed with the speed.
A lot of my colleagues' Nokia 2.4 phones have 2GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM but run Android 12 with only a few stutters.
The biggest mistake you did is that you had purchased the lowest configuration when you could clearly afford higher configurations of the same model.
If your experience with Nokia phones is like this, then no wonder all other phones, regardless of their brands, with similar configurations (or maybe even more) would be much slower.
