Feend, 21 Nov 2021Nokia designers are not creative at all, lack of taste.Nokia designers are not very aggressive to cross the limit and create futuristic and unique designs with the touchscreen era.In the past all funny, crooked, new designs of Nokia phones were amazing.

Of you use initials, explain what the g get stand for. Don't assume everyone knows what all the initials mean

Can someone tell me if they're using eMMC or UFS on this device?
I want to get one for myself.

If you read reviews of cheaper devices, or have family with limited digital capabilities, you notice a lot of complaints that are about user error. Sure, there is a case for UX improvement in those instances, but should not reflect on the device.

The fact I openly said I would avoid the carrier or US-only Nokia branded models due to limited updates and unstable software you seem to have ignored in favour of your weird rant. And I don't own the X100, but I own the X20 which is very similar in design and most specifications, and it is an incredibly reliable device which made me question whether X100 issues are due to carrier software and poor optimisation.

So please read and understand entire comments before you spew out your pre-cooked rant about corporate teats because it makes you appear unhinged.

I really don't get into really writing reviews very often but because it is very clear there is a troll here that is very persistent in getting this negativity about what he thinks of this phone I have decided to write one since I have had this phone for about 8 months now. Overall I rate this nokia x100 5g 8 out of 10. My previous phone being a galaxy s21 5g witch I give 7 out of 10. Pros it works just fine I notice no lack of speed from the phone I do notice it depends on the network I'm connected to that will be any speed issues seen using the phone period. The camera on this phone is by far the best camera I have ever had on any phone I have ever owned and this is based of using it for coins and using the cozy micro scope. The x100 blows the s21 out of the water there is no comparison at all. As far as connectivity and dropping calls not a issue besides the normal service network issues. I use to be die hard Verizon on that note and not no more more drop calls then one should ever experience but now using t-mobile and much better service. But that could also be because the area I live in also country setting in the middle of Michigan witch t mobile has my area covered better I assume. But back to the phone overall not a bad phone and for what I use it for works great. The only real down fall is this button lay out witch even brought me to the internet to start with unlike my s21 where I could change the functionality of some of my buttons and what they did I am having issue trying to figure that out. And that is when I came across this site with what is clear it is one guy being a troll and writing bad review after bad review and for being a 10 year tech savvy guy don't most tech savvy employment places issue a company phone I know both my brothers that work in the field have company phones but then again there actually doing the shit in the real world. But for anyone looking at this phone for the price it surpasses my expectations by far compaired to what I paid for my s21 5g witch may have gotten another star if I used it on the t mobile network it may not have dropped as many calls was going to swap the sim but with using the camera on this x100 I really don't want to have to carry two phones because I can't go with out the perfection of the camera lol. Love coin collecting but dislike trolls even more.

It's a good phone with very good battery life (energy) and very good camera both the front and back are perfect. But the only problem is that it has only single SIM card slots. but y Nokia making this strong phone with single SIM card slot.i wish it was a dual sim to be honest.

As someone who owned it for over a year and who has worked in software engineering for decades I can assure you the phone performs like ass. I dont know if you're just one of these people going through comment sections for a budget smartphone and trying to nay-say any actual criticism because it's your job (in which case I pity you) or because you're a Nokia fan boy (in which case I fear for you) but the rest of us are just giving our honest opinion so the average buyer can make an informed purchase.

If someone had a good experience and leaves a positive review, fine, no skin off my back. I had a bad experience so I left a negative review, fine. But corporate shills who come in here and peddle their crap about how negative reviews can't be trusted are the fucking worst. Go back to sucking your corporate teat.

The company knows there is a problem, and how to fix it, but won't share that info because admitting that could be construed as admitting fault and open a deluge of lawsuits, who can say.

I've just had to replace my x100. I really did like it while it worked. However I've only had it for about a year and a half. It recently started having connection issues to the network (only getting access to the slowest data). I called the customer service and they walked me through resetting the access point name. I did this twice, and it didn't resolve the issue. I took the phone into my store where I bought it, and they did some stuff with the settings and it was getting faster data connection for short periods. I took it back and they did more changes in the setting which got it to connect to the 5g data, but then it wasn't able to make calls. I finally decided to change the phone.

Xenotyro, 21 Jun 2023I don't doubt that the X100 has a bunch of software is... moreVery true. Also there are many fake posts badmouthing Nokia phones. Like someone posts a particular problem and after that a wave of similar posts appear from various users. At the moment I am using an Alcatel 1B with just 2 Gigs of RAM and Snap 215, and it works just fine. Yet Nokia phones much more powerful than that are deemed as slow and useless in many posts in here. That just cannot be true, so personally I think many negative posts are not genuine.

I don't doubt that the X100 has a bunch of software issues and is probably dual booting due to some crappy carrier software. If you are a customer in the US I would only buy the global models that Nokia Mobile release (e.g. XR21, XR20, G50) and none of the devices that have 3 digits in the name (e.g. G300, X100).

With that being said, people buying cheap phones are often very tech illiterate and will say the phone is performing voodoo when really they have installed a bunch of malware, never clear background apps or tasks, never clean their device etc.

My mother was complaining nobody was receiving her messages, it turns out she had enabled airplane mode but denied it was her. She also had 96 tabs open in Chrome. These are the kind of things people do and then blame the device 😆
