the best touch and type phone with wifi is Sony Ericsson w960, even thought it was produced in 2007, w960 is way much better than this nokia touch and type.

Bought this phone last december, and within one and a half month, the "touch screen" has stopped working.
It's still under warranty, but who would want a brand new phone to be having problems with??
It's not a recommended phone to buy!

The switching on and off by itself is not the only... morei,hav bought it yesterday n i,m confusd about it no doubt texting on this cell is a bit tough n "0" button shouldnt b at the corner its really tiring to press it ni m dissappointed about "flash" there is no flash in this cell n so cam is useless in the evenig or at night my handfree is another issue for me i insert it in but still mobile ask for handfree n aftr struggling hard i get success to fix it n if i m not wrong battery is another issue cz as i jst bought it yesterday i found charging points dropp so soon so cnt say anything right now but i guess im gonna change it but will see for some day or a months if i get use to otherwise i guess its not a suitable cell at least for me n i dnt recoomend it to those who need best came result n about others aspects i still need to find out thanks !

Garuda, 18 Feb 2011Just bought this phone yesterday and planning to trade it t... moreok i bought this phone in decemeber and in less than i month i had to return it to the shop as the camera would not work! Vodafone sent it back to the manufacteurs and after 27 days i finally got it back today... Thought everything was perfect but then noticed the sound wasnt working... i tried everything to make it play sound but its just not working i truely give up on this phone

i had this phone for 2 days now & no battery or restart complaint, but I updated it to the newest software, then all ringtones, themes, games & any factory installed extras got removed, ok, what makes it worse is that the new update removed the contacts bar & it can't be brought back again, also opera browser got removed & ovi store icon in menu is removed then it looks so ugly, instead of 3x3 9 items menu it became 8 & no option to add other shortcuts, hate u nokia s40

and by the way, its camera is considered as a Neutral cam, very good at daylight (with 5.0MP w/out Carl Zeiss stuff), but very bad at nighttime considering no streetlights and no cam flash
the videocam is not that good too, the fone processor cant do what the phone setting supposed to do.. its a Con

I bought it last month and i would say this fone is not bad considering the price (8.3k PhP last month
no fone shutdown encountered (my firmware version now is 5.65)
Pros:
- cheap for Wi-fi+touchscreen
- Very slim and neat design, hassle free in pocket (even with jelly case and fone pouch)
- Convenient texting in like 2 weeks time (it requires a bit of practice to get used to, but its great
- Dedicated music player (im a music lover)
Neutral:
- the OS of the fone is so-so (only s40)
..and so is the wifi and other connections
- Ovi is kinda weak, but better than Bada
- Touch screen is responsive although i need a guitar pic to navigate easily due to small touchscreen
Cons:
- battery life! music player @max volume + opera mini = only 6hrs battery time
- No GPS
- can be boring at times
i would say this is overhyped but its not as bad as many would thought..
its a good buy for those want to upgrade their phones

Tania, 17 Feb 2011Hey! I have this phone for about 10 days and I have no prob... moreHey too! The switching on and off by itself is not the only complaints on this phone. There were a lot. And I do not agree that texting is quite easy on this phone. Try to read this:
1. In text messaging, did you find the space bar easy to reach by your thumb? It is located on the rightmost corner of the keypad. This is really tiring on your thumb, isn't it?
2. The keys you press on the keypad are separately attached to the keypad, the keys are not one whole piece, but separately glued and poorly glued on the keypad. They fall down one by one out of the keypad.
3.There is no navigational key for easy navigation. Don't you find that difficult?
4.The screen is poorly sensitive to touch.Very annoying, especially the size of screen, you will accidentally press other functions.Touch and type is a useless featured phone. Better go for the classic phones or purely touchphones than touch and type.
Well, these are just SOME complaints on this phone.If you think this is Ok with you, then you wouldn't have a problem, at least for texting. But I doubt it that you'll say texting and touch screen are quite easy on this phone.

Just bought this phone yesterday and planning to trade it to other model. Phone gets easily hot when you have a long phone conversation and the battery life is very short.

Hi, i am writing this using my X3-02 through Opera mini. When i 1st bought it, it hanged and restarted a lot, it reminded me of Win 98. I took it to Nokia Care in Tehran and they replaced it after 2 times flashing and updating the firmware. Now the new one is OK and works perfectly!
1- I don't demand on a mobile camera, so it is not a matter of care for me while the price is too low...
2- The initial memory (50 MB) is too low but nicely expandable to 32 GB :o
3- No touch keyboard included (excep for Opera mini) scince it is both type and touch.
4- Ovi suite helps a lot managing contacts and ... While the phone misses some options. I take it as a bug that should be solved not having an option to change a phone No type on the phone!
5- I don't know the OS name yet!
6- It does't have a Persian calendar.
7- Very light and handy, I love the design.
8- Opera mini doesn't support vertical mode (fullscreen) and didn't find a compatible flash player for it. Neither it runs java script. Opera is not a Nokia product, you might find a better web browser.
9- The speaker sounds well. Recorder app encodes to RM that is too lossy compressed. It clears details so that there is no hiss or hum recorded.
10- Nice screen in this class with a diferent touch method (other than Samsong)
I don't remember anything else. It is ideal for me and I love it. I am going to use for 5 years at least.
