Are there any smartphone manufactored and assembled in Japan? Available in the west?

    I have both the X30, and the XR21 (Limited Edition). The WiFi performance on the 695 is absolutely fine, but it is still strangely limited for it's class and I see a lot of confusion about WiFi 6 support because Qualcomm imply it is supported when really it's '.ax ready'.

    X30 is running incredibly well after the last build update, I only wish they would tune the HDR image processing as it's too aggressive. The XR21 has a much nicer look.

      Xenotyro, 02 May 2024It does and it doesn't... the chipset can connect to a... morewell. I use Nokia x30 which use 695 chip and it work like a champ as far as Wi-Fi connection ..just for your info.

          so the 2nd sim clot can be used for the micro SD. correct ?

HMD is not owned by Nokia, Nokia have invested in HMD (as did Google, Qualcomm and Foxconn subsidiary FIH) but they signed an exclusive license for HMD to use the Nokia brand on phones and tablets. That license is expiring soon and there were also changes to the terms as HMD were not performing.

              HMD purchased the remains of Microsoft Mobile after the acquisition of Nokia's Mobile division.

                  cheese, 03 May 2024its pretty durable but 6 gbs of raM? Plenty enough for these days, RAM is overrated, stock android can run very smoothly on 6GB of RAM

                    This would've been good if it had an 8GB and 12GB options, plus a 256 and 512 ROM

                            Si, 25 Apr 2024Yes it does support WiFi 6 I have this phone and the earlie... moreIt does and it doesn't... the chipset can connect to ax networks but does not have full WiFi 6 speeds. The 695 is pretty sluggish in WiFi performance in my experience, I get better speeds on the 480 for example. Notebookcheck.net reported similar in their testing.

                              I like the phone, nice features,seems very durable. Only problem with it is carriers in Canada won't activate the volte. That's a big feature that has to work on a smartphone. Voice calls aren't very good, best to use a app like WhatsApp,etc., to handle voice calls.
