Nothing begins rollout of stable Nothing OS 3.0 based on Android 15
Nothing has been beta testing its update to Nothing OS 3.0 based on Android 15 on its phones since October, and today the company is finally commencing the rollout of the stable version.
This is now going out in stages to the Nothing Phone (2) and Nothing Phone (2a). As it's a gradual rollout, do expect it to take at least a few days before it reaches every single unit out there. In fact, Nothing says it might even take until the end of the year.
If you have one of these two smartphones and haven't yet received the update notification, you can manually check by going to Settings > System Update.

Nothing OS 3.0 launches alongside a new native Nothing Gallery app, which features an advanced search function and expanded editing tools such as filters, markup, and suggestions.
The lock screen has been redesigned and is fully customizable, including with Shared Widgets that help you interact with friends and family. There's also a new Countdown Widget, and the AI-powered Smart Drawer automatically categorizes your apps into folders.
You can also expect improved Quick Settings, an enhanced Pop-up View, updated typography throughout the OS, as well as some "visual and performance enhancements", whatever those may be.
The update will reach the Nothing Phone (1), Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, and CMF Phone 1 in early 2025.
