Nothing officially reveals the CMF Phone 2 Pro's camera system

Nothing is launching the CMF Phone 2 Pro on April 28, and as is customary for the brand, it's been drip-feeding us information about the device over the past few days. We already know it will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro SoC, and today it's finally time for us to take a look at the cameras.

The CMF Phone 2 Pro will have a 50 MP main camera with a 1/1.57" type sensor, the largest in the device's price segment. There's also a 50 MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, which will be the first in this price segment. And finally, the handset has an 8 MP ultrawide with a 119.5-degree field-of-view.

If all of this sounds familiar, that's because the CMF Phone 2 Pro seems to have the exact same cameras as the already available Nothing Phone (3a). Of course, the expectation is that the CMF Phone 2 Pro will be cheaper.

The CMF Phone 2 Pro will come with a charger and a transparent case in the box, at least in India.

Nothing Phone (3a)

I don't get having a phone so close to the 3a series in specs and camera. What is the point?
