Nothing Phone (2a) to be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 7200
Nothing has been cooking a more affordable device to complement the Phone (2) in its roster. This has been referred to by various leaksters as Phone (2a), and it's apparently slated to launch at the end of February during MWC in Barcelona.
Today a video of a sketch of the handset has been leaked, showing us its purported camera arrangement, which looks nothing like any previous Nothing device. The Phone (2a) will thus be more easily identifiable as the cheaper one, which is important to some.
Around the back there are three Glyph LED light strips, way smaller than what we have on the Phone (2), but still nice to get for a mid-ranger like this. Speaking of mid-range, it will be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 7200 SoC, allegedly, which fits right in. The model number is A142, and the screen size is rumored as 6.7".
This device will live or die based on how well people think its price will pair with its specs, as is the case for most, if not all, mid-rangers. Now that the leaks have started, perhaps we'll get some extra details soon.

"OnePlus was way better off without him." Yeah, and look where it went to right after he left. Mid phones. But hey, at least they're starting to go back on track.

if they put 7 gen 2 or 3, they would set the price upwards at least, $820. they put mediatek because it is cheap. i feel like nothing would sooner or later be merged by oppo. just shares the same fate as oneplus.
