nubia Flip 2 arrives with bigger cover screen
The nubia Flip 2 surfaced online quietly two months after its unexpected appearance at TENAA. This foldable features an enhanced cover screen, waterproof capabilities, and a new Mediatek chipset. The ZTE brand announced the Flip 2 in Japan and plans to begin sales next week.
The nubia Flip 2 keeps a foldable 6.9" AMOLED on the inside, with the panel having Full HD+ resolution and a punch hole for a 32 MP camera. There isn't a fingerprint scanner under the display as it is on the side, doubling as a power key.
Speaking of cameras, there are two on the back, lined up vertically – a 50 MP main + 2 MP depth sensor. The cover screen is now 3" with a 682 x 422 px resolution. It can bring quick notifications and also offers some app navigation, but nubia did not disclose whether there will be specific applications that will work on the small screen.
The chipset of the nubia Flip 2 is a Dimensity 7300X, which is just like the regular 7300 but adapted for dual-display smartphones, such as this foldable. Storage is 128 GB, while RAM is 6 GB, and the phone runs Android 14.
There is a 4,300 mAh battery on the inside, supporting PD 3.0 charging and nubia claims 0 to 100% takes 55 minutes. The body is designed in such a way that it is IPX2 waterproof (against water drops) and IP4X (protected against objects bigger than 1 mm in diameter).
The official page of the phone mentioned plenty of AI features, including a customized assistant that works with local apps in Japan, such as Line. One of the cooler features is AI reply when the user misplaced their device (or simply doesn't want to answer).
The nubia Flip 2 comes in Black, White, or Blue colors. The price is JPY 64,080 at Yahoo! Mobile, which is about $410. Sales are scheduled for January 23.

In Japan, iOS usage rate is 48% and Android usage rate is 52%. I recommend that you avoid giving false information and being a fanboy.

It's not hard to find those daily drives both iOS and Android. I even have a Japanese friend who daily drives an iPhone 13 mini and an Xperia 1 V.
