nubia launches new Z60S Pro, Z60 Ultra tags along with more powerful chipset
The nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version and Z60S Pro are the latest devices to launch from the ZTE sub-brand. The Z60 Ultra is getting an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and new colors while the the Z60S Pro offers a slightly larger main camera sensor and additional AI camera features. Both devices are also powered by nubia’s new suite of AI services.
nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version
The big change on the Z60 Ultra Leading Version is the higher binned Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip featuring a prime Cortex-X4 CPU core clocked at 3.4GHz and boosted 1GHz GPU. Nubia claims the upgraded SoC will help the Z60 Ultra excel at AI tasks with the ability to run on-device AI models with up to ten billion parameters.

The front is dominated by the same 6.8-inch AMOLED (FHD+ 120Hz) which features an under-display camera (UDC) for the 12MP selfie cam and an enhancemed algorithm for clearer selfies.
The AI enhancements are carried over to the cameras with the NeoVision AI Photography System 2.0. Nubia is using similar hardware as on the regular Z60 Ultra but with an upgrade on the 35mm main shooter which gets a new IMX906 sensor. The 18mm ultrawide lens gets a larger aperture and remains at 50MP resolution while the 64MP periscope (85mm) gets added AI telephoto capabilities.
Z60 Ultra Leading Version in Black and Silver
The software side is covered by Android 14 with nubia’s MyOS 14 on top. The battery remains at 6,000 mAh and still features 80W wired charging.
nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version comes in Black and Silver colors and starts at $649/€729/£649. Pre-orders start today while open sales are scheduled to begin on August 12 from nubia’s official website.
nubia Z60S Pro
Z60S Pro is the direct successor to last year’s Z50S Pro and it retains all of its key specs with some minor changes to the main 35mm cam which features a larger sensor. Nubia is also adding new AI features including Magic Eraser, a star sky algorithm and a 65:24 ultra-wide cinema format.

The 8MP telephoto and 50MP ultrawide lenses are carried over as is the 6.8-inch AMOLED (FHD+ 120Hz). Z60S Pro runs on Qualcomm’s older Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. You also get a 5,100 mAh battery with 80W charging.

The thickness is too thick because the side frame is flat. Just look at Z50S Pro review on this site and the thickness is increased.
