Nubia Z40S Pro launching on July 20, key specs confirmed
The Nubia brand will launch a new flagship on July 20 and we got plenty of details via the official Weibo page. The event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday from 2PM local time (6AM UTC) and will introduce the Nubia Z40S Pro.
The device will succeed the Nubia Z40 Pro that launched back in February with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The Z40S Pro’s design is slightly altered as well with a flat display this time around and a redesigned rear camera module.
The device will recycle the Z40 Pro’s camera setup which includes a 64MP Sony IMX787 primary sensor with a 35mm equivalent lens and OIS, a 50MP ultrawide module that doubles as a macro cam and also has OIS and an 8MP 125mm equivalent periscope module with 5x optical zoom.
The new bit on the Z40S Pro is the sliding shortcut key that will automatically switch to a “street photography mode”. It remains to be seen if the key will be remappable. The battery on the new phone is confirmed at 5,000 mAh.
Nubia Z40S Pro will be available in black and green colors as well as a special Ling Cage edition with red accents.

UDC will appear on Android smartphones but not small bezels. We are far away from it.
