Nvidia rolls out GeForce RTX 5090 and 5080, and they are already sold out

Nvidia just announced the official release of its latest GeForce RTX 5090, which quickly sold out. The $2,000 graphics card was available in very limited quantities at some retailers, with many reporting no stock at all.
The Santa Clara company has already notified users about potential stock shortages on launch day, with Scan UK advising users to expect to wait until the end of May - that's four months from now.

The GeForce RTX 50-series was revealed at CES 2025 earlier this month. The RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 feature fifth-gen Tensor cores with FP4 support, which lowers VRAM requirements for generative AI models and enhances performance twofold.
Nvidia equipped the RTX 5090 with 32 GB GDDR7 memory with 1.792 GB/sec bandwidth, or about a 75% increase over the RTX 4090. The 5080 has 16 GB GDDR7 RAM and bandwidth of 960 GB/s.

Nvidia set an initial price of RTX 5080 at $1,200, which is still less expensive than the $2,000 RTX 5090. Meanwhile, some scalpers are listing the graphics card for over $5,000 on eBay and Facebook Marketplace, leaving us to wonder who would be so eager to purchase the latest GPU at such an exorbitant price.

It's all a big fat lie, few numbers were made and they did a huge thing out of it, to show as if it's sold out. Truth is, the cards come with very little upgrade at higher price, they control the market with low stocks now.

1. An extremely small number of chips were delivered. So they didn't sell out, but there were extremely few of them. Some stores had less 5090 (30-50% or more) than 4090. 2. Stores including Nvidia did nothing about scalpers. BOTS bought th...
