O2 UK now offers exclusive red HTC Desire 601

09 January, 2014

A red version of the HTC Desire 601 is now available on UK's O2 carrier, and it's free with a 2-year contract.

UK carrier O2 is now offering an exclusive red version of the recently launched HTC Desire 601 mid-ranger. You can get the smartphone for £240 on Pay & Go deal, or for free if you are willing to sign a two-year contract.

The black and white models of HTC Desire 601 are also available for purchase. There is no info on how long the O2 exclusivity on the red Desire 601 will last in the UK at this point.

HTC Desire 601, previously known as Zara, comes with a 4.5" qHD display, a dual-core Snapdragon 400 chipset, 8GB expandable storage, a 5MP rear camera and the iconic front stereo HTC BoomSound speakers. The Android version in charge of operations is 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

A SIM-free HTC Desire 601 in black or white is available for order in the UK at about £260 from several other retailers, so if you don't insist on red, your options go beyond O2.

htc make top quality superior products and will continue to do so! ...they suffered only marketing issues in 2013 and swamped by samsung and apple.
