hiya iv had this phone 4 about a month and the camra is rubbish but the ringtones are good. eny1 agree?????

i bought this fone on the 14/11/04 n its shite!! the internet never works, even with 8 emails to o2 for the settings, i dont know about the capacity of memory on it but it keeps displaying "low memory, please delete messages" when i have no messages stored!

I agree this phone is rubbish. Im on my third x2. i only purchased it in June. keep having the same problems with the phone, i cant receive incoming calls on it.. this has happened so many times i think ill just get rid of it. Its not the network as my sim card will receive calls in other phones!

FACT: this phone sucks, the picture quality is rubbish! some features are ok, but doesnt mean its a good phone, its annoying to use, but does look good thats it though(Why are people still posting is this phone any good??? read the comments!). I give more credit to the X1, i also wasnt much of a fan of that phone and they do break easily. So if you have read these comments and you are still thinking of buying this phone? then go see your doctor, as you have some serious issues. Also i have seen the X3 it pretty much kills the X1 and X2 any day!!!

MIDP is V1.
As for Jar size not quite sure what u mean on that. The memory size is 1MB and its shared throughout all applications including Java games.

Stacey ur x2 should already have the settings stored in the phone. The reason it asks for them is becoz ur phone needs to be able to connect to GPRS before u can use MMS(pic msging). Try n go onto ur internet n if it wrks send an MMS to urself 2 test both sending and receiving ability.If that fails call ur netwrk provider.

Select from right hand sub menu GET SETTINGS.
Choose Pay & Go, type in your mobile number, select any handset as it shouldnt make a difference i,e Samsung E700 and the settings will be sent to you for free.

Can anyone help me? I txt o2 to enable my media messaging (to be able 2 send them) and got a txt saying "Your picture messaging service is enabled but you will need to set-up your phone. Simply txt ACTIVE to 2020,follow the instructions and save the settings". So i did that and got back "To get o2 active settings,reply to this txt with the number for your fone make e.g. txt 1 for Nokia:
1)Nokia
2)Sony-Ericcson
3)Samsungv200
4)other
so then i replied with lots of different things cos i didn't really understand, individually of course ;

Every time i sent a message i received "Welcome to 2020. please reply with the number only:"
I really dunno what to do its like wasting all my credit and all i want is photos on my computer!

Donna call the x2 helpline they can help. If phone is under 12 month warranty they will fix it for free.

i ave an x2 n its the worse fone ever .... the picture is crap n my messeges come late n my phone completly freezes sometimes n cant get into anythin n wen turn it off i ave to swap the sim cards around b4 putting my old sim in b4 i can use it again, i took it to the shop n bcause i got it from catalouge they cant do out but its past it warranty to send it bak to catalouge (ad it 2 months)any one got any suggestions ?????/ any help wiud b great thnx

I've had the O2 X1, for 11 months and 20days . . . ie, waranty is just about to expire . . . then it breaks ! woohoo! (all it would do was start the main o2 logo screen, then turn itself off) took it into O2 store, they said they dont make the X1 anymore, so they'll send me the newer X2 :D - its( x1) a great phone, had no problems apart from the one time where the time froze , then when i opened it it went back to normal . . (oh yeh and the game "jumping bear" is shit . . .) ringtones are ok , , two things that would make it almost perfect, More memory for ringtones/ games / pics/movies , and a longer battery life .

My mate has this fone n its one of the most rubbish fones i ve seen, yeah it lukx gud at first n u think wheres the camera at, till u realise its round the bak, the screen inside is tiny so the photos dont luk gud and the menu set up is just so rubbish and sepchly on a screen so small, the texting and the buttons do my head in, save ur money n buy a betta flip fone

I think this fone is amazing, the camera is good quality for a flip-up fone and it is really easy to text, its stylish and small..as laura said its perfect for girls!

A PLUP code is basically the same as an NCK code. This is when your trying to put another network sim inside the phone. As its an O2 phone only o2 sims can be used in it. So u need a code to allow the phone to use all networks.
